We have some lovely occasional posters who have lived in Korea, are Korean or have Korean partners/family members who pop in from time to time to provide the context for some of the more baffling cultural references.

We have a few frequently used acronyms:
FL/2FL = female lead/2nd female lead
ML/2ML = male lead/2nd male lead
SLS = Second Lead Syndrome (where the FL/MLis too thick to realise how much better the 2ML/2FL is)

We also abbreviate titles if they’re long, but usually only after using the full title & acronym together. Some of the regular favourite actors have been abbreviated too for speed/efficiency, although “him off Black” seems to have stuck for Song Seung-Heon. Don’t be afraid to ask for help/clues if we’re not making sense or have descended into acronym soup.

Yes, I sense we are spreading ourselves across 3 streaming platforms now - mainly is service of reviewing oppas’ back catalogue.

It’s great viki has caught up on subtitling My Fellow Citizens. Siwon’s wife in this, the detective team leader in white collar crimes, is a great character - low key bad ass and strategic with it, so it’s great seeing her and the head of the loan sharking crime family (Hina off Mr Sunshine) square up to each other. Both those female characters, and Siwon’s MIL too, are brilliant - savvy, cut-throat and owning it.

What’s fastdrama.me like for boobs and hacking? I’m so frustrated by the Viki subs dropping off Heartless City again. I’m basically an episode and a half from the big finale and I want to know whether all my faves make it. Grrrrrr.

2 eps of Confession done and I'm mightily intrigued!!... It's quite gripping! Loads and loads of unanswered questions and quite gruesome for a kdrama! 👍👍👍Lovely eyes Junho 👀 is as lovely as ever!! I find him very watchable! 😂👍

Betty - I really liked Korean Gene Hunt’s solution to testing the dodgy prescription in ep 5 of Life on Mars. 😂 I am slightly in awe of Office Yoon’s martial arts skills. I like that K-Gene Hunt and JKH have taken to frantically waving their hands trying to get her to tone it down.

I am rewatching ep 7 of HPL again, just because. I love KJW on the balcony at the fan meet - great aviators.

Yy I almost like K-Gene Hunt more than original though feel disloyal saying that as I sometimes see the original in Waitrose. The humour is very good & needed as it can be dark.

No excuse needed to rewatch HPL, I have been too. The Guest is on Dramafast but as KJW is playing a priest I guess there’s less scope for hawtness

I read somewhere that due to being fluent in both languages, KJW has some Japanese film/TV in back catalogue. I am sufficiently interested to explore this, as I keep meaning to watch more Japanese stuff. Two birds & all that.

Eye bleach stat, arghhhh! Bea, you must have better pop-up filters than me because fastdrama.me threw up lots of adult nude porn site pop-ups. Avoid!!!

Put off by the porn pop-ups on fastdrama, I went back to viki for Heartless City and decided to watch without subs just to find out who is still standing at the end. I’ve found out two things: the subs come & go in eps 19 & 20, so I’m not completely in the dark and also that you can report issues inthe Viki app - pause theprog, click on the settings cog, click ‘report issue’ and there are radio buttons for a range of problems. It’s so easy to report I’ll do it now every time the dialogue goes out of synch etc.

Will avoid fastdrama.me, but so far touch wood I haven't had any boobage with Dramafast.

I have a confession......I watched the last ep of Heartless City as I read a spoiler by accident (IT WAS IN A REVIEW!! No manners whatsoever) so I'd be interested to know what your opinion is on the ending.
