Last thread was full.

I thought I was done hearing Tyler’s mums grating voice on my tv but she’s just popped up on a Lidl ad!

Seems that way. What a letdown. So no one will ever find out now?

PinkDaydreams · 31/05/2019 21:54

I was hoping that it would have been someone that wasn’t so predictable!

LHMB · 31/05/2019 22:28

Yeah I thought the filming seemed weird. The Rana hallucination was a bit freaky, and yeah the red coat reminded me of that film too.
How did Carla end up with Sarah's phone anyway, I must have missed something

thenightsky · 31/05/2019 22:37

Carla had loads of phones in her bag... how did she get possession of them?

Optimist1 · 31/05/2019 22:56

Please tell me that someone whose paranoid delusions had developed as much as Carla's in the first part of the episode wouldn't really be left at someone else's home in the care of just one person? We saw that she was able to fool Peter into thinking she was taking the meds, but the professionals didn't seem to notice they weren't having the desired effect. Thankfully I have no experience of such things.

BreconBeBuggered · 01/06/2019 00:20

I really like the scary dead Rana hallucination.

bobstersmum · 01/06/2019 08:57

Well corrie has been crap lately but I thought last night was really good!

LaLaLamp · 02/06/2019 00:39

I was very moved by the last episode on Friday. Spent some time this week with someone who has a close friend who suffers from psychotic episodes (3 years in a mh unit so far) and she said that Carla portrayed the part very well, so much so that it really upset her watching the scenes.

CoolShoeshine · 02/06/2019 08:19

Can someone explain how Gary escaped? I thought police knocked on the door so assumed they found him but then he wriggled towards the door and it said that he was found in the street?

Clawdy · 02/06/2019 08:50

Yes, that was odd, we heard police shouting just as the loan shark was about to kill him. Then he crawled to the door. So what happened?

doobydoobydooo · 03/06/2019 09:15

I'm really disappointed that it was Gary that sabotaged the factory roof

I feel like that was the obvious choice and so predictable .

Also as well how cheeky of him to accept the money off peter for keeping his mouth shut to the police to protect Carla when it was him all along !

ILoveMaxiBondi · 03/06/2019 09:23

I wish it had been Nick that sabotaged the roof but Ive a feeling they’re building up to writing Gary out of the show. Maybe that’s just wishful thinking Grin

doobydoobydooo · 03/06/2019 09:24

I think they should of made it Roy who sabotaged the roof sleep walking 😂

thenightsky · 03/06/2019 09:29

how cheeky of him to accept the money off peter for keeping his mouth shut to the police to protect Carla when it was him all along !

I suspect the writers hadn't decided who was guilty at that point in the script. Grin

SumAndSubstance · 03/06/2019 16:38

thenightsky, I suspect that's very true!
I don't understand why Gary would sabotage the roof. Was he hoping it would collapse and they'd need a builder?

keepondreaming · 03/06/2019 19:09

@SumAndSubstance That's what he said. He was hoping that the contract to fix the roof would earn him money and get him back on his feet.
All very disappointing.
Trying to think of one storyline I'm actually interested in at the moment...

woodhill · 03/06/2019 19:55

Carla -isle

Sick of Nick, and trying to manipulate David.

Preferred it 2100, only once a day.

SumAndSubstance · 03/06/2019 20:08

Oh, thanks, @keepondreaming, I must have actually fallen asleep for that bit 😂

ILoveMaxiBondi · 03/06/2019 20:12

Another one bored of Nick. Raging that David’s signed that contract before the police walked in.

OP posts:
thenightsky · 03/06/2019 20:27

David is smarter than that, surely? Confused

ILoveMaxiBondi · 03/06/2019 20:30

I would’ve thought so but he did sign it just before they walked in. Unless he didn’t sign it but scribbled “not on your nelly Nick” on it Grin

So Gary is collecting around £100 per passport and from that is able to pay a workforce of around 8?

Am I missing something?

DaveCoachesgavemetheclap · 03/06/2019 21:07

I couldn't be arsed to watch the second episode. What a crock of shite.

Walney · 03/06/2019 22:56

Glad I'm not the only one thinking that about the wages! And Sally said she had stable fees to pay, not with that pay. Money is so silly in this show, people buying properties and businesses with little thought and finding money from nowhere.

Redshoeblueshoe · 03/06/2019 23:03

Fuckit I thought that. He had about 5 passports. He was trying to sell back at £200 each. Surely people would just say that their passports had been lost or stolen, and got a new one for less. Also I'm sure Sally said only a few months ago that she owed something like 10k in legal fees. Now she can afford a part share of a horse, and stable fees.
