Last thread was full.

I thought I was done hearing Tyler’s mums grating voice on my tv but she’s just popped up on a Lidl ad!

OP posts:

Same here, I had to look away, no one needs to see that and I hope she cleaned her chips up and put them in the bin, I do quite like Gemma but her manners are atrocious.

Yep Kate really is a pain, she can't act for toffee, it's unbearable watching her.

bobstersmum · 06/04/2019 07:55

There is no way Gemma would have been so useless and bad mannered living with Rita. They've changed her ridiculously it's so annoying!

Looobyloo · 06/04/2019 09:35

I'm still trying to feel something when I see Kate grieving but nothing! And watching her and Imran in a scene together is painful.

Carla is as good as ever.

zizza · 06/04/2019 15:03

I'm another one who doesn't feel anything (except annoyance at the weird things she does with her mouth) when watching Kate. Odd ....

SymphonyofShadows · 06/04/2019 18:04

That sofa must stink!

ajandjjmum · 07/04/2019 08:31

I obviously missed Tyrone's grandmother moving back in with the dog!

redzebra10 · 07/04/2019 09:29

is carla having a breakdown.
i wish they would get rid of gemma, she doesn't talk she shouts and i know i've said it before but she supposed to be about 27 ffs

MsChookandtheelvesofFahFah · 07/04/2019 12:14

Oh my word! Watching catchup and Kate's face when Carla admitted to knowing about the roof! Can't the producer say something? It's like those rubbery faces that you put three fingers in the back of and scrunch up. Shock
What I don't understand is why Carla is taking all the blame? Yes, she knew the roof was unstable but without people trespassing up there it would have been safe enough inside the factory?

Clawdy · 07/04/2019 13:45

But didn't Wayne tell Sally the collapse had nothing to do with her and Gina being on the roof?

bobstersmum · 07/04/2019 14:44

That tribute thing Kate did in the garden outside was just weird, with only her watching it really, just keep it to yourself love!

SymphonyofShadows · 07/04/2019 15:53

Wayne said that it should have been able withstand 100 kilos per metre, Sally must weigh about 60 at the most. The lack of proper joists made the roof fall down (with help from whoever was lurking up there in the early morning in a hoodie). The joists were too short and wedged on bricks, which would have been unable to take the weight long term. It seems bonkers though, as dodgy as Phelan was, he intended to stay on the street at that point. Why shit on his own doorstep?

Deadringer · 07/04/2019 16:33

I assume they will discover that someone had tampered with the roof so Carla will be absolved of blame, sort of, because even though it needed to be sorted it shouldn't have collapsed. Any theories on who did it?

MsChookandtheelvesofFahFah · 07/04/2019 16:42

Robert is my guess. Trying to shift the blame onto Carla at the garden, I can see right through him....

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 07/04/2019 17:09

Cannot abide how Gemma leaps up and wraps her legs round her blokes waist.
She did it to Chesney , to the Newton/Ridley Bloke (whose name escapes me and I cba looking up) and the other one who was built like a brick outhouse (who I also cba looking for)

Deadringer · 07/04/2019 18:27

Chesney must be stronger than he looks.

TattyOldbit · 07/04/2019 21:23

Agree with PP's about the personality changes suddenly inflicted on characters simply in order to facilitate plot lines, ringing false and putting people off.

HellAndDegenerates · 07/04/2019 22:10

Why does it always seem like Sinead is begging Daniel for permission to do stuff?

Is he her dad? Her owner?

Honeyroar · 07/04/2019 23:01

Daniel is a bit creepy and controlling.

Yes I agree- I hate how they always have Gemna jumping on blokes like that. This relationship with Chesney really should have her showing a more grown up side.

Clawdy · 07/04/2019 23:14

I don't see Daniel as controlling, think she was a bit like that with Chesney, she's always been portrayed as a rather placid, drippy sort of girl unfortunately.

Honeyroar · 08/04/2019 07:21

I think he is. He decided how and when they got married, he went to the factory telling Cara what to do about Sinead’s job, he’s always there interfering in her life “being nice”.

ellenanora5 · 08/04/2019 13:24

I think Daniel is very controlling, I mentioned it on a previous thread, he steam rolls Sinead into doing things, and he also organised the homecoming party and I got the impression she didn't want that, there's been a few times I've noticed it, I don't like him and I don't trust him one bit really.

Walney · 08/04/2019 14:49

Glad its not just me who hates the way Gemma just jumps on guys, its very annoying. I also don't see how she would go from being tidy and respectful in Rita's flat to being completely awful in Chesneys house, I really don't buy that sudden change. I wish the writers would just write her as a believable character.

Honeyroar · 08/04/2019 19:39

Gosh I'd forgotten Maria existed!

What happened with Gary and the bloke wanting money? I think I missed an episode.

thenightsky · 08/04/2019 20:50

And this woman working with Nick and David... I thought she was some sort of scammer/fake solicitor working for someone who is dodgy who knows Nick's secrets? Now she's a naïve trainee?

Confused
Redshoeblueshoe · 08/04/2019 20:51

I don't understand why someone didn't ring Rana's phone, so they could see who has it
