Ugly house to lovely house

Just watching this. They had a budget of 150k, but the final cost was 350k! Aargh, what? And George Clarke said the architect did a good job. Lovely build it may be, but how can being so much over budget be a good job?
I never know where people get the extra money they suddenly have to unexpectedly fork out.either.

My mistake. I started up an old one in error.

Yes... I've just binge watched on catch up too and I'm sure they are old ones.

The player just started on an old one without telling me. That’s why I was confused.

I hate all these double height ceilings! What a waste of space! And how do you change the fucking light bulb? I don't mind heights or climbing ladders as a general rule, but I'd certainly not be clambering up to change something 18 feet up or whatever! Nor do I want to hire someone to come and change my light bulb.

I also wondered where they got all the money from.

I really don’t like the Nottingham house. The front doesn’t look much different to me.

I was admiring the coloured glass bottles on the kitchen window sill in last night's house, which I hadn't seen before even though it was a revisit (aka repeat). I found them online at Heal's, but they are around £250, which is a shame, as I too have a kitchen windowsill where they would look lovely!
I would be worried about my security at night with those bedroom windows opening right on the street, and I wouldn't want to have to sleep with closed windows all summer.
