OP posts:
Berrie · 04/07/2007 17:03

Yep you can have him and his multi coloured helicopter and his multicoloured coat, his multi-coloured slippers, and his multu-coloured willie for all I care!

slayerette · 04/07/2007 17:53

Oggs? Oggs? The steak's burning...
Sigh...

Does nobody want to play anymore??

Did I kill the thread, did it die of natural causes, or is it merely resting????

Berrie · 05/07/2007 07:30

Oh resting surely

Berrie · 05/07/2007 07:38

Lee is going to be on Midweek an Radio 4 next week (I assume it's on Wednesday)

Berrie · 05/07/2007 07:41

Lordy, we've started on last year's elderberry wine this week, it has to stop. I feel proper rough this morning...again.

oggsfrog · 05/07/2007 08:45

Duly noted on the calendar Berrie. Thanks.

I spent a good proportion of yesterday listening to my CD - "You Raise Me Up", "New York" and "Paint It Black" were repeated many, many times . His voice is just fantastic.

oggsfrog · 05/07/2007 08:46
BoingBoing · 05/07/2007 12:26

oooh, ditto Oggs - but the thing is, the songs are all so good that I keep on re-playing each one as I hear it so many times, I never get to the end Ok, maybe not all are so good, some might be considered a tad patchy. Maybe Lyra should have included Patience at the very end, just to remind us of his competition!!!!

oggsfrog · 05/07/2007 14:13

Which was the one that Zoé said was rubbish? (have learnt how to do an accent today )

I'm not keen on Livin' on a Prayer, and Daydream Beleiver.
I wish Bad Day was longer.
I'm really into You raise me up at the moment.

I've been listening to JD's Joseph cd this morning and he doesn't come out well at all in comparison to Lee.

Who did Patience? I don't remember that, and can't even think how it goes.

BoingBoing · 05/07/2007 14:31

Alright Now 'a bit rubbish'.
Patience was sung by Anthony (the one with the hideous girlf) - it was the vocal equivalent of nails on a blackboard.

I'm also not keen on Living on a Prayer, but I like most of the rest of it - the boys are back in town is also a bit patchy, with only a couple or 3 good singers - not sure who they are though, except Lee of course!!!

LyraB · 05/07/2007 16:33

Oggs, how could you forget Patience? Anthony sung it the week he got booted out. The high notes were just excruciating.

Oh - you started without me. Have just marked A LOT of essays and only stopped very infrequently to admire the men in white shorts (every time Andy Roddick serves, his shirt rides up and you see a lurrvely torso - sigh).

So budge up, pass the jammy dodgers and talk to me about outfits Lee should wear that don't include slippers or multi-coloured coats. I did like the black vest look but I'm very fond of tennis whites at the moment.

GeorgeEl · 05/07/2007 17:24

Thought I'd join this thread as a new member of Mumsnet! I'm off to see Ben (remember him - think he came 4th) in a concert at Kew Gardens next week. Will let you know how he does. Very cute - but will he sing in tune? Hmmmm - will report back! Surprised none of you have mentioned Jason straining for the big notes at the Diana concert. Thought he was going to explode...Hilarious!

slayerette · 05/07/2007 17:44

Hellooo and welcome! A good thread for your first post but you need to 'fess up - are you a Lee-luster?

oggsfrog · 05/07/2007 17:50

Slayer, did you find find out more about the multi-coloured willy? and if so, is it anything contagious???
Has there been much tennis then today or has it been rained off?

Hello George. We try not to use the J word on here. It's our equivalent of a profanity
In fact the thread title is somewhat misleading. It's more of a Lee appreciation thread

slayerette · 05/07/2007 17:53

Ooh - lots of tennis - hence the Andy Roddick torso excitement. In fact, he barely got on court before it rained but there were moments, nonetheless.

So the multi-coloured willy: it was red and yellow and...

How BIG would it need to be for all those colours to fit on?

No, actually, it was a multi-coloured condom

Berrie · 05/07/2007 18:13

Yeah you should worry about catching something you shameless hussy!

slayerette · 05/07/2007 18:23

Berrie!

LyraB · 05/07/2007 18:24

Hi George, we did discuss the JD incident further down the thread. Also we've moved here from another Joseph thread because the last two got to 1,000 posts and imploded. The Diana concert performance was discusses at length on our previous one, entitled Joseph...the story continues or something. You've got a lot of catching up to do
When is this concert in Kew? I'm near there so it might be worth a look.

binkleandflip · 05/07/2007 18:26

oggs, I have that cd too, in my car Love belting it out when I'm out on my travels but I am always sure to turn it down at traffice lights as I'm not ready to be outed as a youngish person (ie not 65) who listens to musical theatre in the car!

Berrie · 05/07/2007 18:34

Oh yeah, welcome George.
Slayer is right, we need to have your opinion on Lee
If you had embarrassing, lustful thoughts about him during the show then you'll fit right in
(If you didn't, you are stil welcome )

GeorgeEl · 05/07/2007 18:37

Hi Lyra, I've got so much catching up to do! There I was innocently posting a question about potty training and I got lured away by J and here I am. My first day on Mumsnet and this is what happens! The concert is next Wednesday in Kew Gardens. It's outside - sort of bring a hamper event. Doors open at 6.30 starts at 7.30 and I think it's the music of Dirty Dancing lead by Ben. Sure to be very naff but in a hugely enjoyable way I would have thought!

GeorgeEl · 05/07/2007 18:44

Shows I'm not very good at this thread business. I wrote a message with my views on Lee and it doesn't seem to have attached. So here I go again. Even being rather thick about how to attach smileys! Anyway, I did like Ben to start with - liked his attitude and thought that Lee was maybe a little too 'nice' and then I realised Ben was of course far too young for me and went to Italia Conti and I saw some footage of Lee being quite funny so I changed my mind and became a Lee fan. Still not totally sure about his hair - but I won't go into that - don't want to make you angry on my first visit to your thread!
