Hellllloooooo! Anyone there?

OP posts:
OggsfrogswartsExpress · 17/07/2007 22:26

Cheers Lyra. I think so too.

Now tell me... how do I copy a picture onto a blank white screen link, like everybody on here seems to be able to, like soupy with the bat, all the drinks in the bar and tea shop etc?

I could copy some of the best pics then and you would be able to see the gold boots

LoonyLyraLovegood · 17/07/2007 22:29

I don't know tbh. Looks like i'm destined never to see the gold boots

LoonyLyraLovegood · 17/07/2007 22:32

I really can't understand why I can't get onto those sites. Puzzling.

OggsfrogswartsExpress · 17/07/2007 22:54

Lyra, I've just sent you an email

LoonyLyraLovegood · 17/07/2007 23:02

Oooh, thanks! i was just about to go to bed but that's worth staying up a bit longer for.

LoonyLyraLovegood · 17/07/2007 23:04

Fab pics, Oggs, thanks again
Don't you think he looks like a laydee in the chariot pic? A tad too much make-up perhaps.

OggsfrogswartsExpress · 17/07/2007 23:09

Oh, I wouldn't hold your breath Lyra. I sent myself an email (long story) at 11am this morning and am still waiting for it

If you want, I can send some more tomorrow. It was a lightbulb going on in head moment .

Couldn't have you missing out on the boots

Off to bed now... haven't spoken to dh all evening

binkleandflip · 17/07/2007 23:36

you HAVE to watch the video clips especially the show montage - a brief glimpse of long white sock can be seen....

OggsfrogswartsExpress · 18/07/2007 07:57

But I can't binkle. ,wails> It won't let me..................

OggsfrogswartsExpress · 18/07/2007 08:05

Here's a review in the Telegraph

Now I've actually read it, I don't think he even went to see it, I think they just wanted to be first with an item

Berrie · 18/07/2007 08:31

Hello hello!
Lee was on 5 live last night after the show. You could hear the party going on in the background and he was all happy and excited. The trailers for the chat with Lee kept banging on about the technical difficulty which stopped the show but turns out it wasn't such a big deal I think.

LoonyLyraLovegood · 18/07/2007 08:33

Reviews pretty positive this morning, but dominated by technical glitch which meant they had to stop the show ten minutes in, and the fact that it wasn't the same rags to riches story as Connie's. they said he was fab though (only looked in Sun and Mirror so far, also got Times and Mail but got to take DS1 to school...

OggsfrogswartsExpress · 18/07/2007 08:34

Ah, bless
So it's no use me making a 20 mile round trip to the shops today for a paper? I'm presuming the reviews will be in tomorrows???

Berrie · 18/07/2007 08:37

I'm recording breakfast and gmtv just in case there is anything on...

OggsfrogswartsExpress · 18/07/2007 08:39

Bloody x post. So the reviews are in today's papers....... right, will do a shopping list - not worth going all that way just for The Times

BoingBoing · 18/07/2007 08:47

Morning all! I've just quickly checked the Times, Guardian & Indy but haven't found anything in them - although like I say, it was a quick skim. I'll check again properly later. I'm psyching myself for the FT, although somehow I doubt it. Right, where's the Telegraph.....

OggsfrogswartsExpress · 18/07/2007 08:52

Gah So the reviews aren't in todays papers???

Boing I'm very impressed. Do you have those papers delivered every day ?

BoingBoing · 18/07/2007 08:56

Yes indeedy. Sadly only the grown up sensible ones

binkleandflip · 18/07/2007 08:57

Poor, poor Lee, the stage broke last night!

binkleandflip · 18/07/2007 09:00

Quick interview with him in dressing room, make up all smeary but he looked very happy,,aah, bless

binkleandflip · 18/07/2007 09:02

He is still on now, replaying close every door

binkleandflip · 18/07/2007 09:07

oggs, you're poota will drive you insane...

It needs a good talking to!

OggsfrogswartsExpress · 18/07/2007 09:54

Binkle, it's not actually my computer . A techie friend was doing some work on it on Monday and was very impressed with the actual computer.

It's the bloody f!*%g connection that is at fault.
We live about 10 miles from the telephone exchange and consequently have an extremely, and I mean extremely bad connection speed.
The recommended absolute minimum is a speed of about 56kbps. We get 16.8kbps .
We haven't a hope in hell of ever actually getting broadband.
This is one of the reasons we also don't get tv reception. We live in the middle of nowhere.
Actually, we could get tv reception if we had satellite, but that is not a way we want to go.

Gah. I've never really missed tv until Lee, Robin Hood and Dr Who all came along

It wouldn't be so bad not having the tv if only I could watch the vids and clips on the computer......,der, and dest.

BoingBoing · 18/07/2007 09:59

Oggs! You have my deepest sympathy. We're in the same boat - we have exactly the same problem with broadband - BT finally refused to support the line it was so bad. But I now have a modem which runs at 31.8 kbps, which ain't great, but it's bearable. So you could give that a go?

But whereabouts do you live - I thought I was remote!!!

binkleandflip · 18/07/2007 10:32

Gaw, how annoying..but Oggs, on the brightside...

only 19 days to go till you've got him in the flesh!!!!!!
