Hellllloooooo! Anyone there?

I think you're right about the sweet stuff though - I just need to wean myself off the taste of it. I'm already not as fond as I was in my twenties so I'll just keep trying...

Berrie · 06/07/2007 18:08

Also, know what you mean about blouses, I have to sew up the bit over the bust to stop it gaping. Thanks for advice. Might wear my long bacon frazzle shirt and trousers...just need to read some dfe publications to get my head back into gear now so that I can be even vaugely coherant and unbefuddled

Berrie · 06/07/2007 18:13

I made sure I had something sweet to nibble at those 'got to have something sweet moments' I had dried fruits etc. They are not very exciting so you eventually do without them too. I do think you get used to having a daily chunky kitkat or whatever and once you've stopped it gets easier and easier until somehow you just don't fancy it any more.

oggsfrog · 06/07/2007 18:47

Apparently I'm now a shameless heifer of a hussy. This gets better and better

I'm currently 12 stone (ish)(been losing and gaining around 6lbs for bloody months now), and like Berrie I've not had a single complaint from Lee

Ooh, he'll be going on in 15 mins.

oggsfrog · 06/07/2007 18:53

I've been low carbing and it cuts the craving for sugary things really quickly. My downfall is potatoes and bread.
I've lost about 2 stone since Jan 06 and have managed to keep it off. Am on a bit of a plateau at moment and need to get my arse in gear.

Berrie · 06/07/2007 19:25

That's great Oggs! I was nearing the 14 stone mark and shifted 1/2 a stone before I went on holiday. I have not dared to weigh myself since we got back and have not been very good this week either,(as my very recent trip to the Co-Op shows - didn't get the cava in the end, have trouble with white in the Co-Op as it all seems to be Chardonnay which I don't like. I walked up and down thinking...what did Boing say...South African muck...south american muck? Anyway went for Lindermans very crisp wine or something - no variety, which sounds a bit dodgy but I'll give it a go - oh yeah I was telling you what I bought...er chorzio, goats cheese, red pepper, pine nuts, 4 deeply delicious coffee cup cakes, or something....and it's all for meeeeee! DH is going out )

oggsfrog · 06/07/2007 19:38

Ooh, budge up Berrie.
Can I have one of those deeply delicious coffee cup cakes

oggsfrog · 06/07/2007 19:43

Are you a fan of The Doctor, Berrie?

Only saw the last episode last night, and have been reading the associated threads today.

Lyra, Boing and Slayer have all appeared on there up to now .

Berrie · 06/07/2007 19:48

Have just burned the pine nuts...always do that so that's a few less calories

The cakes are actually from the co-op truely irresistible range...preferred deeply delicious myself, did I make that up or does some other supermarket do it? Anyway....'Butter enriched sponge cakes made with real coffee ( what is false coffee?), with a smooth buttercream icing and an intense chocolate expresso filling. Topped with a chocolate coated coffee bean (sounds a tad crunchy not in a nice way) and a sprinkling of coffee and chocolate powder. (coffee powder?)

Berrie · 06/07/2007 19:49

Yes, also only just caught up as have been away. Thought The Master was great but was disapointed in last episode...mind you was rather drunk...do i speak out of turn?

Berrie · 06/07/2007 19:50

Not keen on Catherine Tate plan or the Kylie one TBH

oggsfrog · 06/07/2007 19:56

Yay.
Catherine Tate is the spawn of the devil. I had a bit of a rant about her tbh. I hated the Bride Christmas episode with her.She is blatently wrong.

Also thought last ones were a bit naff, especially after "Blink" with Sally Sparrow which was excellent, but tellingly, not written by Russell T Davies .

Berrie · 06/07/2007 19:57

Have opened very crisp wine (or whatever it was called) now that dd has stopped wailing pitifully for Mummy. I'm trying to stop BF because I want to increase my dose of ad's and she's not happy. I can't open the wine while she's awake or I'll neck the lot.
DONT let me drink the whole bottle because with DH not here there is no one here to make sure he gets his fair share and I will be SOOOOO sorry tomorrow. I aslo need to do some interview prep so I don't take it with me to London and spoil my day on Sunday...mmm fat chance tonight

Mmmm very crisp white needs to be colder so you can't taste it...not crisp enough if you ask me...

LyraB · 06/07/2007 19:59

Damn you Berrie, now I've got a craving for cake

OP posts:
Berrie · 06/07/2007 20:00

Is blink the stone angel one? Very good...was that written by the same person as did the 'where's my mummy?' one?

I get a bit fed up of the Russell T Davies thumbprint on all of his...though I should be grateful to him really ...sorry your Russelllness!

Berrie · 06/07/2007 20:01

Catch!

Berrie lobbs one to Oggs and Lyra

Berrie · 06/07/2007 20:02

Can I interest you in a black pine nut too?

LyraB · 06/07/2007 20:03

Yummmmm. And I don't usually like coffee cake. I prefer lemon drizzle cake

OP posts:
Berrie · 06/07/2007 20:08

Crisp fresh white...horrible but on second glass now.

DONT LET ME DRINK IT ALL!

LyraB · 06/07/2007 20:09

Go on, drink it all. It will do you good. Honest

OP posts:
oggsfrog · 06/07/2007 20:12

Ooh, you're very good. Me and dh have a bottle each at the weekend

Where do you reckon Lee will be up to now? It's about halfway through isn't it?

I'm waiting for dh to come back in so we can go and watch a film.
Really should join an online dvd rental as the only place I can rent them is the local library (local . It's 10 miles away), although they do have a huge selection of about, ooh, say twenty different dvds.

I spend a fortune in charity shops and on ebay.

I'm just debating whether to bid for Torchwood Series One episodes 1-5. They are normally really expensive. I've only ever seen a couple of episodes.

slayerette · 06/07/2007 20:15

I'm sorry Oggs - I only meant to award myself heifer status and not cast aspersions on the rest of you - in my head you're all Kate Moss-ish and I'm the Dawn French of the group And you've lost so much weight! Well done! I'm heavier than I was just after giving birth, which is why I'm so with myself.

Berrie · 06/07/2007 20:17

Oh dear Slayer, having established that I am heavier than you, if you are the Dawn French of the group...then I am the Jabbab the Hut

slayerette · 06/07/2007 20:18

Can I have a cake and a glass of wine? Just to make sure you don't drink it all, Berrie! Ooh - a Doctor thread too now - David Tennant, Captain Jack and - LEE as the new companion.

No, that was a dream I had

Berrie · 06/07/2007 20:19

Oggs, unless you are loaded don't join a club, just keep taking up trials where you get the first 8 free or whatever then cancel...are you loaded?
