I'd be keener on Captein Jack if he didn't look like he'd got so much makeup on...

Free trials for you then...just didn't want to come across as a cheapskate if you didn't need to worry about these things as we do!

I had forgotten the traditionally built ladies. Now I remember why I find those books so soothing!
Most men prefer curvy women But now have vision (to follow Oggs' vision) of Lee crying 'Please help! I don't believe in free love' - which is what he says to Mrs Potiphar as she tries to ravish him - as he disappears into our collective ample embrace

slayerette · 06/07/2007 20:32

I have chocolates, by the way, given me by a parent. Anyone want one?

oggsfrog · 06/07/2007 20:34

Dh is tapping his foot impatiently. Must go.
We have the thrills of an Eddie Murphy action film that promisingly, I've never even heard of, and looks like it might pre-date Beverly Hills Cop by a few years

Enjoy your evenings.

Catch you all tomorrow (sore heads notwithstanding)

Berrie · 06/07/2007 20:34

yup but not the coffe cream

slayerette · 06/07/2007 20:34

Uh-oh - have to go. DH is getting plaintive about being abandoned so off to watch House (vid from last night). Have a good evening, and don't eat all my chocs.

Berrie · 06/07/2007 20:36

The official website is up and running now. Link to it here.
You can send an SAE for a signed photograph. Now I really feel like I'm 14 again

Oh. My. God... The last picture of him in Gallery 3 is what can only be described as diabolical!!

binkleandflip · 06/07/2007 23:38

Apart from that, good website

Berrie · 07/07/2007 08:38

Oh my fave...5th one down gallery 1...will have to print it out I think...Do you think dh would mind me putting it up?

slayerette · 07/07/2007 10:49

Just looked at the website and no thumbnails came up to click on in the galleries

But I liked the pictures in the intro bit!

oggsfrog · 07/07/2007 14:05

Gah.
Had a bit of a panic earlier as Mum rang to ask if I could get Matinee tickets instead of evening as Dad has been worried about getting us there and back at night.
Had to explain how booked up they were, but she still tried ringing the Adelphi and asked if they would swap the tickets for us, and seemed genuinely puzzled that they couldn't .
I'm going to have to see exactly where is is, where the nearest tube staion is if it comes to it.
Anybody got any tips? The problem is that my Dad will be driving us into London probably earlier in the day, we'll do a bit of sightseeing for dd, then he will need to get us as near to the Adelphi as poss and then wait while we watch it. We will then need to meet up again afterwards.
I feel a bit guilty now as I tend to forget that they are in their 70's, and it is probably quite daunting.
Ho hum.

Thanks for the link Lyra, I'm busy exploring now.

Berrie · 07/07/2007 14:05

That'll teach you to insult Jabba Slayer

LyraB · 07/07/2007 15:15

Oggs, it's on The Strand. Nearest mainline station is Charing Cross. It's also near Embankment and Covent Garden tube stations. Your dad will find plenty to do whole he waits. In Covent Garden there are bars and cafes he can go to plus street entertainers.
Not sure about driving right into the West End, it can be a bit daunting to those who aren't used to driving in central London. It might be worth parking somewhere nearer nearer the edge of London and getting the tube in. It runs late enough for you to get back afterwards.
IIRC they live in Wiltshire, don't they?Whereabouts? Could you all get the train instead? It only takes about an hour and a half, maybe two hours, from Bath (if they're anywhere near there) to Paddington.
Does any of this help?

This time next week I shall be mere hours away from watching the show!!!!

We've ordered canapes and champagne for the interval too as we wont have had time for a meal due to travelling and we wanted to make it a night to remember I CANT WAIT!!

LyraB · 07/07/2007 17:11

Champagne and canapes. Yum. Can you order them at the theatre then or do you have to bring your own?

binkleandflip · 07/07/2007 17:16

I got an e-mail from the ticket agency offering seat upgrade packages so I'm not sure if you can book when you get there or have to pre-book but:

you could have drinks and ice-cream served at your seat and programme etc for £25 per head
or canapes/champagne for £36 per head

Also, vip packages where you get your own room to retire in at interval with butler service No idea how much that was - I didnt ask!!

Twas my sister who got all full of it and extravagant saying she wanted canapes etc. and well, I didnt fancy queueing for a magnum while she's living it up being posh so have stumped up too. We dont get out much together so its nice to have a treat.
