I'm a bit confused by some of the current living arrangements....
Who lives with Eileen?
Is Sean still living with Billy?
Does Claud live with Ken?

I find the non stop "who's the dad" interrogations weird. You'd be more worried about how your kid is, how she'll cope with whatever decisions she makes; but all Steve and Tracy keep harping on about is who the dad is.

Rhinosaurus · 24/01/2019 07:14

As if Amy would go from being determined to terminate baby to wanting to go ahead with the pregnancy?! Perhaps Steve and Tracy will bring it up as theirs a la Kat/Zoe in Eastenders....?

Deadringer · 24/01/2019 08:13

Maybe Amy is frightened of having an abortion now that it's not a pill. Doesn't she realize that if she has the baby she will have to name the dad and he will have 'rights,' to the baby.

Walney · 24/01/2019 08:26

Why would Faye be convincing her to have the baby? Didn't she give hers up and want nothing to do with it?

It would have been a much more interesting story (of an overused story of teenage pregnancy) to see Amy go through with a termination with parental support than this. Still a sad story but would be good to see Amy choose to continue education instead.

ILoveMaxiBondi · 24/01/2019 08:46

Doesn't she realize that if she has the baby she will have to name the dad and he will have 'rights,' to the baby.

Probably not because she is 14 and that sort of stuff won’t even have entered her head. She’s probably thinking about prams and pretty dresses. Sad

Optimist1 · 24/01/2019 08:49

In fairness to Tracey and Steve, knowing the details (is Amy in a relationship? was she groomed?) would help them help her in the long term. Not that I recommend the scatter gun approach with accusations!

ajandjjmum · 24/01/2019 09:01

Although she seemed to behave in a really mature manner initially (visiting the clinic, talking to Liz), her sudden change of mind emphasizes her lack of maturity to me. Poor kid.

And yes, Tracy and Steve. Talk to her about her, not the father! Even if it was grooming etc., that can come later.

Clawdy · 24/01/2019 09:59

Don't think Tracy and Steve can bring that baby up as theirs when the whole street and everyone at Amy's school knows it's hers!

Walney · 24/01/2019 11:38

It felt like Corrie were trying to do a Brexit joke when Sarah was asking Carla and Nick for a raise. Carla going on about a hard no, soft no and borderline. It was very odd!

SgtFredColon · 24/01/2019 12:19

Tina had an abortion and was fine with it but David went mad when he found out.

qazxc · 24/01/2019 14:40

How much time would, phoning gary and him working out if he could have done the job for less , does Audrey think takes? Why does she do things at break neck speed (selling businesses, getting builders in)?

Thesearmsofmine · 24/01/2019 15:25

The storylines are so strange at the moment.

I wish they would concentrate on one big story and do it justice. No Daniel or Sinead last night, what is happening with the baby, what is going on with her cancer treatment? How is Daniel coping with the stress of having them both in hospital, has anyone visited Sinead(all those who turned up to her baby shower?)

My favourite bit last night was the exchange between Tyrone and his gran on the street about giving the dog chips, just normal conversation, a bit comedic and no big shouty story(although of course she then didn’t pick Ruby up so no doubt it will lead to something).

millimat · 24/01/2019 15:48

To be fair,DD is just 15 and i think dh would have the same reaction as Steve if presented with the same news.

BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo · 24/01/2019 16:09

I liked that interaction as well Thesearns not everything has to be over dramatic to be interesting and entertaining.

Clionba · 24/01/2019 17:14

I agree with pp about Tyrone and Evelyn. I like the ordinary interactions, observations about life, a bit comedic and a bit wry. I dislike all the big "issues" and crime storylines.

I did laugh at Sarah on the deflated lilo when David the dog stole her bra & knickers. Grin
I can see why Steve and Tracy are angry. She's 14 and acting as if it's no big deal. It would be really twisted if she slept with Simon. Adi is very lifeless so I doubt it is him. The other guy doesn't seem credible either from the way he treated Simon. How old is Max? It could be a new character.

Clionba · 24/01/2019 22:07

You'd be angry if your daughter was only 14, and seemed so responsible. You'd worry about grooming etc.

Slightly off topic here, but I was showing my Y4 class a video clip about Roman Britain and Eileen's ex -Paul the fireman- was in it. It took me a few minutes to work out where I'd seen him before.

qazxc · 24/01/2019 22:24

Sarah, get rid of Gary, he's a cocklodger at this stage and clearly hankers after Nicola. As Sarah says he doesn't spend that amount of money on Jake.
Amy is clearly freaked out by the fact it isn't a matter of taking a couple of pills. And with her parents obsessed with the father, it's left to Faye and "oh giving birth to a child and giving it up is a walk in the park" routine to sway her from, in her mind, a scary op vs having the baby.

Clionba · 25/01/2019 04:46

Help me out, fans -
Where does Faye live (and what does she do)?
Does Craig live with Rana and Kate?

OP posts:
DaveCoachesgavemetheclap · 25/01/2019 06:34

I assumed that Faye lives with Sally & Tim, but as for what she actually does ...
Yes, Craig lives with Kate and Rana.

millimat · 25/01/2019 07:39

I thought faye had gone to live with Anna and just visited?

qazxc · 25/01/2019 08:22

Yes AFAIK she lives with Anna but visits Tim.

SumAndSubstance · 25/01/2019 11:33

Yes I don't know why Sarah bothers with Gary. She's about the only woman who's faintly involved with him who hasn't been blessed with one of his lucky sperm.

Also, periodically, Steve's acting makes me so angry that I have to say it and let it out and then I can calm down and let it build to the next time. He's like a bad comedy actor trying to do straight stuff and all he can do is pull that stupid face he does. Okay, that's better.

MinisterforCheekyFuckery · 25/01/2019 12:12

I don't understand why Audrey didn't just ring Gary and say "I've had a lower quote, can you match it?" It would be a five minute conversation at most!
