I think kat could be in on it then as alfie won’t want to leave his boys in favour or Cherry. Surely Kat will go meet him with the children?

It has been a terrible Christmas story line this year. Why would Alfie take off like that?
Babies are hard work! His other boys need him around. He can't answer his phone with a screaming child about!

Yes the police were in the house when Hayley screeched that he had taken the baby, Kat walked right past the police to go outside and screech for Alfie.

Also why on earth wouldnt they tell the police? I don’t understand their supposed logic behind that?

Where did Alfie get the baby car seat?

Imagine being a police officer called out to a death, NOT finding the supposed body, hearing a woman scream that a baby has been taken and they just, go back to the station?

Any officer would surely send out a search for the supposedly dead man AND a missing newborn baby???? Not just go back to the office for a cuppa!

They could've easily said he tripped over toys on the stairs ( they were littered with toys) like poor Laura did .
The neighbours are used to the Slaters shrieking , the noise would not have raised an eyebrow.

Kat, Tommy, Bert and Ernie will rock up to City Airport (there are other London based airports but they always seem to choose City ) and meet up with Alfie and Cherry .
Loved the exchange between Phil and Alfie " Faaamily" "You sound just like ......." (?Peggy Mitchell)

Phil could've loaned them a car that had windows and would get further than Dagenham.

And why wasn't Ian at his resturant? On one of the busiest periods in catering? He could've used his Professional Kitchens to prepare the food .

  1. so you think that they are all in on it? could be - all a fresh start with cherry in spain maybe? mind you, Hayley used to live there too once, she would guess and go after them maybe? agree that the restaurant should have been open, he could have cooked for the clan up there instead of that tiny kitchen. anyway, i also agree that the Karen clan with Mitch and her sister is also a bit boring. i really hope that Keegan isnt going to take drugs though.

Thinking about it, I do now think that Kat and the boys will meet Alfie and Cherry. Alfie wouldn’t give up on those boys so easily. That could be why she was so nasty to Jean (a cover up), Jean knows the plan too.
Originally thought Hayley was in on it and she was going to start a new life with Alfie, but she does seem genuinely distraught.

I rewatched the bit where Alfie drives up in the snow in that scabby Ford Capri he had (with half a tank of petrol and £87) and Kat walks barefoot in the snow to him.

It could be like that - she won't do it straight away (NYE would be good though) she'll miss him ( her Man-in-the-Moon) and the boys will miss him.
I reckon there will be an emotional re-union. They have been through too much to call it quits now.

I don’t think anyone is in on it, I think Alfie just acted in the moment, grabbed the baby & ran.
Kat only found out the baby was his a couple of hours before the falling down the stairs incident - that’s not long enough to accept that your husband had a baby with your cousin & hatch a plan to kidnap that baby

I think Alfie heard Kat say all the soppy lovey dovey shit when she thought he was dead, interpreted it as her forgiving him and decided to take Cherry and ring Kat later on to meet with the kids and live happy ever after.

Of course the numerous phone calls and messages from Haley, Kat and the others snapped him back into reality and he realised this plan would be never work, but he's already taken the baby so he had to keep running. Cue an alliance with Phil. Like he would actually help Alfie! Or maybe the passports are clearly dodgy and they're arrested at the airport.

Keegan must have done the drugs before. Nobody orders £30 worth of gear without already being addicted to it. Grin If he takes all that once he will be smelling colours.

Desperately need a Louise and Sharon double pregnancy. All it takes is a quick comment like 'oh don't they look alike, they've got the same eyes' from Dot and then a duff duff of Phil looking into Ken doll's eyes as he realises that the local Singleton has impregnable both his geriatric wife and his suddenly sex obsessed and extremely confident daughter.
