Highlight of the episode for me was Raine & Phil singing fairytale of New York, well done bit of comedy to lighten the mood

That was a really horrible epsiode. My anxiety actually kicked in watching Kat and Alfie argue. It’s was horrible. I was so uncomfortable and just wanted it to stop but also wanted to see what happened.

They've just twisted his character so we don't feel bad Hayley chucked him down the stairs. Load of rubbish.

I agree with this. Alfie was always wheeling and dealing and stretching the truth but there’s no way he was holding in all those feelings about Kat for years. He loves the bones of her.

Got a good shot of the spiral staircase leading up to the loft conversion tonight, at least we know now it's not a knotted rope. Easily the highlight of the Xmas episode. Someone falls to their death again, meh.

If we are getting rid of Alfie can we get rid of Hayley, I genuinely feel for the Slaters the going gets tough so Hayley tries to do a runner. She's become so predictable.

Raine has a really good singing voice. I was very impressed. Also loved how they put Karen back in her onsie!

I'm not sure it's a complete personality transplant. He admitted he's always been a wheeler dealer and a trickster and Kat knows that (true). But I'm pretty sure what he was getting at was despite all that he'd tried to keep their family and relationship together because he loves her - and all that despite her continuous cheating and shagging in the Vic back alley.

It was like he finally admitted he couldn't manage anymore.

However that comment about thinking she was dirty was vile and totally out of character imo.
