Angel has a proper artist's eye, and has some amazing ideas. She's very creative. She's lucky her hubby can translate her ideas! I was reading about a couple that got married there, they said the Strawbridges couldn't do enough for them and went to tremendous effort to realise their vision.

I'm so jealous of her lovely parents more than anything.
They all seem to live life to the full. It's rather inspiring!
(even though I know it's an orchestrated TV show with everyone on best behaviour rather than actual reality)

Yes I agree Clionba Angel really has talent. I thought the macrame would look weird but it looked good.

I just hope the weather stays good enough for them to get their money back on creating the glamping site! What happens if it pours and the chateau is full? If it were me I'd 've done up more of their inside rooms.

Yes, good point. The glamping bit certainly hasn't been done on the cheap! I was amazed at the attention to detail and the quality of the finish.

I looked up how much it was to stay in one of the Geo domes... £350 per night! Lovely though.

I love the walled garden and the beautiful restored Victorian greenhouse.

That's a lot of money! But they do look fantastic and have a private kitchen and garden.

I love this programme so much, i wouldnt want to do it personally but love watching everything they do would love to stay there , it is very expensive!

That is a lot bipbop because in France you can get a BnB room for 2 people at approx. 60 euros a night!

Of course it won't be classy like Angel's place or be big enough for a family though hers is self catering.

Much cheaper to stay at this chateau plus the chateau is much prettier and has a working drawbridge which is pulled up every evening!

That Chateau is not too far from us! mydog Have you been there? The nearest town to it is Parthenay it's centre is like something straight out of a fairy tale! hardly any tourists go there, we might go and have a look!

ppeatfruit, yes I have been there. It's absolutely beautiful, just like a fairy tale castle. I have been inside too and it's beautiful too. The owners are English and have done a wonderful job of restoring it

Does it have a restaurant ? We couldn't find anywhere to eat in Parthenay !

No it doesn't have a restaurant. It's only bed and breakfast (or was when I was there)

I absolutely love this show. Watched it since day one.

Angel is inspiringly creative and Dick...well...Dick just gets shit done, doesn't he?

I have copper bath suite envy on top of all the other chateau envy! I do wonder how easy it is to keep so shiny and clean though.

The copper bath suite looked amazing, but won't look like that for long! The white enamel loo didn't match, but I don't suppose you can get a copper one! It looked so idyllic, overlooking the kitchen garden. What a lovely place to raise children.

I really loved what Angel did with the dried flowers in the tower! It looked stunning.
DH has “Dick can do anything” envy.... he came into the room last night whilst it was on and I said “Dick has just made a woodland walk” and he said “Of course he has..”

Yes I was talking about childcare. No doubt they get a pretty sweet deal from Channel 4 for the shows, plus all the other tv stuff that Dick does.

I like watching it. I think they're both very talented and I admire them for taking on such a huge project. They seem to work really hard, but have fun doing it. I love some of their décor, not the taxidermy though.

I dream of moving to France but I'm on my own and I'm a bit to too lazy to learn French and start up in another country again.
