I know it's just come out today, but I was working from home and binged 5 episodes in the process. Anyone else watching?

.

Patienceisvirtuous · 18/10/2018 17:47

Marking place. Am up to ep 6. Will report back when done with thoughts :)

WhoWants2Know · 18/10/2018 18:42

How did none of them, especially the parents, work out Luke's imaginary friend?

Processedpea · 19/10/2018 07:50

Poor Abigail was a strangely neglected character

Juanbablo · 19/10/2018 22:20

We are up to episode 8. The Bent Neck Lady was a revelation that I didn't see coming. I think I have worked out the Bowler Hat Man but I could be wrong. Dh keeps rudely falling asleep and snoring so loud I can't hear it so I've given up till tomorrow.

Samcro · 19/10/2018 22:23

we have just done episode 4 please can I ask for no spoilers.
I like it, its slow but has grabbed me. not a fan of the parents at this stage(that might change)

BoomTish · 20/10/2018 10:49

Interesting article here that shows the “hidden” ghosts people have spotted in various scenes. No idea how they saw them- I’m struggling to even spot some in the stills.

Article contains spoilers.

Just finished that last episode - really enjoyed it all and great to have a genuinely scary series!

Feel like I need to watch it over again tho to properly get it all!

LightastheBreeze · 20/10/2018 20:43

On my list now for tomorrow

NicoAndTheNiners · 21/10/2018 15:40

Yeah I’m finding it confusing to tell the sisters apart. And telling them apart from the mother in the flashbacks.

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/10/2018 18:37

I don’t have Netflix is there anyway I can watch

NicoAndTheNiners · 21/10/2018 18:50

Don’t think so at the minute.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 21/10/2018 18:53

Utterly confused by the imaginary friend.

Watched to the end.

Juanbablo · 21/10/2018 18:55

Chardonnay do you mean Luke's imaginary friend? Abigail?

Juanbablo · 21/10/2018 18:55

I thought it was a fantastic series. Dh and I watched the last few episodes this morning. It is confusing but it's very clever.

Methe · 21/10/2018 18:56

We finished it today. Love it! Didn’t see Abigail coming at all :(

They’ve left a lot of lose ends for a 2nd series.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 21/10/2018 19:00

Yes, don't want to post something that might be a spoiler though.

WhoWants2Know · 21/10/2018 21:04

I never worked out the dogs barking at night. The pictures in the link above creeped me right out!

I wanted to watch but am easily scared, so chickened out.

TheOud · 21/10/2018 22:05

I’ve just finished episode 4. Really enjoying it. It has jumpy scares but somehow they’re not too petrifying imo. It’s really hard working out Shirley, Theo and the mum at times. I love the characterisation (they all feel believable imo). It has a very strong, oppressive atmosphere like a good ghost story should have. I’m enjoying it more than the book which I didn’t think I would.

WhoWants2Know · 22/10/2018 11:20

OhFlipMama it really isn't too bad. More spooky than scary.

Binge watched episodes 1-9 last night, got to 1.45am and had to finally be adult and go to bed since it was a school night! Really impressed, although the intro makes me think of the new Westworld every time with the slow scenes and music.

Ontheboardwalk · 23/10/2018 20:31

*BoomTish’ that’s a great link. I missed most of them. The ones I did see freaked me out

Bishalisha · 23/10/2018 23:43

Is Abigail possibly the housekeepers baby girl?

MawkishTwaddle · 24/10/2018 19:21

I've just watched episode 1 of this - I really liked it, but I'm totally freaked out by the fact that the dad is played by Elliott out of ET
