It’s entirely inappropriate to share their private conversation

Grin Grin grin]

Yeah, worra faacking caah!!!

She should definitely have made a concerted effort to preserve the public image, and thereby the career, of the emotionally abusive cheat who had gaslighted her for years. Women owe this to men, no matter how bad their behaviour, or how badly they treat them.

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 08/10/2018 21:17

I loved Marian Keyes' tweet too. So sweet, I wouldn't be at all surprised if they do end up being friends.

Sparklingbrook · 08/10/2018 21:28

I wish Marian Keyes wanted to be my friend. But not because DH was cheating on me I suppose.

ThursdayLastWeek · 08/10/2018 21:30

Isn’t it crazy how this 'scandal' really seems to have caught the public’s eye? I feel pretty invested in it, but I don’t really know why.

What annoys me the most about any time this happens is that Strictly doesn’t bloody well need this kind of publicity - it’s a behemoth of a programme that is far greater than the sum of its parts.

So when the parts start acting shitily I feel really defensive of the whole!

ThursdayLastWeek · 08/10/2018 21:31

I guess I mean, just keep it in your pants guys until New Years or summat.

Whisky2014 · 08/10/2018 21:40

Its like 10? Weeks they need to not cheat.. it shouldnt be so hard!

Sweetpea55 · 08/10/2018 21:45

Does anyone else think that Tess Daley has elbows like Olive Oil

gendercritter · 08/10/2018 21:50

I think we're quite a nice country on the whole. We really like things being fair.

I thought Seann seemed very sweet and he wasn't taking himself too seriously. I now think he's been emotionally abusing his girlfriend and his true character has been exposed. What an idiot to ruin his reputation so publically too

Whisky2014 · 08/10/2018 21:55

I agree gender and out of all of them, to me, he woukd seem the least likely. And how his gf was championing them so much i think makes it so much worse.

Whisky2014 · 08/10/2018 21:57

Rebecca has gone from 5k followers to 8k in an hourA

derxa · 08/10/2018 21:58

I hope he and Katya stay in the competition. I enjoy watching her amazing choreography and couldn’t give two shiny shits what any of them do in their personal lives. I'm afraid I agree

Inkanta · 08/10/2018 22:04

'I think we're quite a nice country on the whole. We really like things being fair.'

Yeah agree. I'm pleased to see Rebecca's tweet making headline news now, and particularly the bit where he calls her a psycho on her birthday before the kiss. That seems fair and just to me.

Whisky2014 · 08/10/2018 22:05

But its not personal. Its a work crossover which relies on the public opinion for them to win. So thats a non argument really for people who want to act cool and uninterested whilst secretly googling it all Wink

MorningsEleven · 08/10/2018 22:09

Above everything, it was her birthday! What a wanker.

MargotLovedTom1 · 08/10/2018 22:20

😂 @ Tess's Olive Oyl elbows in the midst of all the serious discussion.

I agree with this: I hope he and Katya stay in the competition. I enjoy watching her amazing choreography and couldn’t give two shiny shits what any of them do in their personal lives.

ismellsnow · 08/10/2018 22:29

MargotLovedTom1 the Olive Oyl thing tickled me too Grin

ilovesooty · 08/10/2018 22:30

I hope they stay in the competition as well. I don't care about their personal lives either.

CoolCarrie · 08/10/2018 22:32

Surely all the contestants must know that the newspapers will be watching for any inappropriate behaviour? and people would be happy to sell any photos catching them out. He is a tosser and not a good dancer at all. This Saturday will be interesting...!

PandaPolarBear · 08/10/2018 22:35

Surely there's no way the BBC can keep him in the competition... this isn't a drunken kiss that can be brushed under the carpet with a couple of apologies and some contrite faces anymore.
He's being accused of being emotionally abusive... with the metoo stuff going on and the BBC having a bit of a chequered past when it comes to that kind of thing.. they'd be nuts not to drop him.

SheCameFromGreeceSheHadaThirst · 08/10/2018 22:43

I don't care about their personal lives either.

I do care about my license fee being used to fund performance fees for abusive shits, though.

SheCameFromGreeceSheHadaThirst · 08/10/2018 22:45

They're either thick as mince, blindingly arrogant, or a bit of both Grin

bonfireheart · 08/10/2018 22:45

Genuinely question in response to the last post...
If Seann was a doctor instead of a man on the tv should he lose his job over it?
If he was a teacher?
A postman?
A builder?

bonfireheart · 08/10/2018 22:47

So background checks on everyone on tv? Everyone who gets tax funding? Anyone who works for an organisation that recives charity funding?

KitchenDancefloor · 08/10/2018 22:50

That was an awesome tweet from Rebecca and could be lifted from the relationships board on here, from people who have come out the other side of a bad relationship. Bravo.

I think people who feel invested/disgusted by Seann and Katya's behaviour are likely to be people who have been on the rough end of such behaviour themselves or seen the fallout in the lives of those they love.

I've seen too many people crushed by shitty relationships and betrayal and there's no way I could support them, no matter what bendy tricks Katya pulls off on Saturday. It tarnished their dance partnership in my mind, although I can understand that other people can separate the dancing from life outside of the ballroom.

SheCameFromGreeceSheHadaThirst · 08/10/2018 22:57

A bit of a non-sequitur. I don't find watching an abusive man dancing around playing the lovable goof entertaining, and I'd rather my license fee didn't contribute to advancing his career.
