I agree Binkle. That's the reason I said that if I were to meet him;

"It could go any number of ways;

1. I literally woudn't know what to say and would stand there staring at him, slack jawed with a thread of dribble hanging off my chin - not the best look if you're trying to make a good impression
2. I'd throw myself at his feet, grab his leg and refuse to let go. Ever.
3. I'd faint.
4. All three..."

It would be so embarrassing asking for his autograph.

I have the feeling that the binocular knowledge etc. is just from the fact that she is a serial musical voyeur, and probably know all of the theatres inside out.
