Oops! Just posted on the old thread and it passed 1000 messages and died. Thought I had better start a new one quick!

OP posts:
BoingBoing · 26/06/2007 20:35

Fabulous!! It's all there, even don't rain on my parade, which I thought was also brilliant!

slayerette · 26/06/2007 20:40

Thank you for the link to the Heat pics, Lyra! I managed to read the bit of the interview that was there too - now tell me honestly, where do we stand on a) the yoga and b) the running away from a fight? Cos I like my fantasy man to be all Capt. Jack in attitude - well, possibly not bisexual, but definitely there to take apart anyone who looks at his woman funny.

Answers on a postcard...

Btw - pic of him in Now after all, but not a v impressive one - he's holding that narrator woman in his arms and not bearing up too well under the weight (headline - 'Just call him Lee weed' )...

LyraB · 26/06/2007 20:41

I was watching some of the auditions again on the BBC site last night. Ah, the memories.

LyraB · 26/06/2007 20:44

Oh, is this a new Now, after the CADM face one? He's also in the current edition of Hello.
I have to say I was none to impressed with some of those answers. He came across as a bit wimpy.
But maybe that's what the interviewer intended with his choice of questions.

BoingBoing · 26/06/2007 20:47

I've no problems with the yoga Slayerette, it makes him sooo much more flexible As for the fight thing. hmmm. It sounded like he would if he had too, but generally speaking self preservation is his preferred option. Personally I don't have a problem with that either.
And is the narrator on the, ahem, large size? After all, we've SEEN his biceps!

LyraB · 26/06/2007 20:52

Q. What are you like in a fight?
A. Oh, I don't do fighting, unless I have to. I like to run in the other direction and be safe.
Oh dear, doesn't sound very manly at all.

slayerette · 26/06/2007 20:58

I'm afraid I'm definitely from that species of woman who

really likes the idea of a man who would fight for her

Yes, this is a different edition from the CADM picture. This is the BHCASMBMAFO picture. And the narrator doesn't look particularly heifer-esque but maybe she had just had one too many jammy dodgers for lunch that day...

BoingBoing · 26/06/2007 20:58

Au contraire! I see it as the mark of a true gentleman - someone who knows how to do it, just doesn't!!! That's my line and I'm sticking to it.

Lyrabelacqua · 26/06/2007 23:10

I dunno, the apparent weediness is putting me off. He looks big, strong and manly but that appears not to be the case. The interviewer also said he was smaller and younger looking in RL.
Oh dear.
Where's Oggs, enjoying her Leefest?

oggsfrog · 27/06/2007 07:18

Ooh, I'm away for an evening and return to find the passion dwindling

Agree that Lee hasn't been done any favours by the latest lot of photos, and if I'm totally honest the interview too.

Just a point though.....the NOW interview was done by a woman, and the heat one by a man.

Maybe the man was jealous and set out to sabotage Lee?? [wishful thinking emoticon]

Lee is actually 5'11'', and tbh in some of the clips he looks muscly, in some not so.
He looks best in black, black/red, but the pale shirt and waistcoat doesn't look good.

So what's the lowdown on the Hello picture/article??? Worth spending yet more dosh on trash?

Lyrabelacqua · 27/06/2007 08:56

Yes, I think you're right. I bet the interviewer doesn't have women throwing themselves at his feet like Lee does, so jealousy could be a factor.
He came across as a big girly wuss but, if he'd said he goes out looking for fights every Saturday night after the pub, I'd have been none too impressed either. He can't win.
The Hello piece just has pics from the final (Lee looking a bit sweaty and shiny so not great) so probably not worth rushing out for.
What did you think of Close Every Door, Oggs? Have you listened to it?

binkleandflip · 27/06/2007 10:04

Aw, it's a terrible thing when love starts to fade..... You need a real life Lee injection...who needs to know what he thinks about stuff anyway, right? Just perform for us!!!

BoingBoing · 27/06/2007 10:21

It's Heat magazine, FFS, not the TLS, Famous for showing 'celebs' with their knickers accidentally showing.
First off they're trying to get him to say there was a really terrible atmosphere in the house, when he doesn't play that game they go for the DvO angle, when he doesn't bite on that they go for the 'so are you hard?' angle. He's an MT actor, not Grant Mitchell, what on earth was he supposed to say?!

The love's still there!

binkleandflip · 27/06/2007 10:47

Clearly!

Lyrabelacqua · 27/06/2007 11:03

You're right, I must remember that it is Heat, the magazine equivalent of the Daily Star.
Boing, I've received your discs and your lovely letter. I'm about to start burning them now so I may even catch today's last post. If not I'll definitely post them tomorrow morning so you'll have them by Friday.
And I really wouldn't feel right about accepting the money. It'll only cost me £1.38 to post them first class. You spend it on something nice for your ds.

BoingBoing · 27/06/2007 11:16

oooh! How exciting is this!!! I'm glad you liked to letter, it was far more interesting than doing whatever it is I'm paid for. As for the cash, ok, ds can have something special. I'll let you know....

Lyrabelacqua · 27/06/2007 11:43

CD done, just waiting for the DVD now.
This had given me an excuse to listen to the cd again, for quality control purposes, obviously .
Am currently loving Dont Cry for Me Argentina, Devil in Disguise and Born to be Wild. You can really hear the quality in Lee, Keith and lewis's voices on it, and the lack of quality in Craig's.

BoingBoing · 27/06/2007 11:58

Your selfless altruism is truly astonishing.

I'll be humming them in my head for the rest of the day. hehehe

Lyrabelacqua · 27/06/2007 13:05

Leefest parts one and two are now in the post to you, Boing, so you should receive them tomorrow.
Remember to watch on a small screen for the best picture quality. The clips from the final are the lowest quality but most of the others are fine.

BoingBoing · 27/06/2007 13:15

Star! Now for the moral dilemma. Do I throw a sicky so I can lie in wait for the postman. Hmmmm

Lyrabelacqua · 27/06/2007 13:19

That would be Very Naughty!

BoingBoing · 27/06/2007 13:44

Oh bugger. I've just remembered, I have to go to a conference tomorrow. Poo.

oggsfrog · 27/06/2007 20:07

Lyra, Close Every Door is sublime. I'm listening to it now and it's giving me goosepimples - Lee's voice is just soooo gorgeous on it .

Who is singing Don't Cry For Me Argentina - I must have missed that; I've not heard it before.

Just copying the cd onto my computer as I type.

My lust has not waned

Lyrabelacqua · 27/06/2007 20:14

I think it's actually called Oh what a Circus and I've misnamed it. It's Lee and Lewis and it's on the CD.
Couldn't agree more about Close Every Door, I can't stop listening to it.

Lyrabelacqua · 27/06/2007 21:33

Come back Lee fans!
I'm supposed to be sewing name tags into ds1's new polo shirts for school and I'm trying to put it off. They've been sat next to me, with the sewing box, for an hour and a half and I'm running out of procrastination options.
