I think Chloe is going to come down with some kind of illness (that’s why she’s come back) and it turns out that she needs a transplant of some sort....

Ange is tested and isn’t a match...

Ange is told that it’s very unlikely a donor will be found if there’s no other family/DNA option and meanwhile Chloe is getting sicker and sicker...

Therefore Ange decides that Chloe should know about Dom because he’s her only possible chance at life.

So it all comes out, Dom is the hero and saves Chloe’s life by donating a kidney or bone marrow or something and they all become one big happy family.

I think Isaac will worm his way back in with Dom when he's at his lowest ebb. Think Carole will come up trumps though and maybe Dom will distance himself from Ange and Chloe. I really don't like Ange. Dom nearly made a massive error because he wanted mummy operating with him - his judgement is really compromised.

It seems logical to me that Dom is being awful to Carole but sucking up to Ange. Carole has always been there for him so he knows he can be angry with her & she'll still be there. Ange, OTOH, has already abandoned him once - he's trying to make her want him.

I can kind of see the logic of Ange not wanting to tell Chloe... Maybe she's spent her whole life trying to make up for her conception - it was a bad start so Ange is trying to make everything else good for her. Dom being on the scene complicates things & Ange has spent so long trying to make everything good for the child she could that she doesn't realise what she's doing or know how to include Dom in that.

Or something... I do love a bit of armchair psychology! Grin

Also, I assumed Ange called him Darren. She had him for a while after he was born, presumably she'd have had to register his birth. Has he never seen his own birth certificate?!

Wouldn't Carole and Barry change his name after adopting? I thought you could change an adopted child's name and give them a new birth certificate

Adopted kids definitely used to often have their names changed. Not so much now I think.

What is the age difference between Chloe and Dom? We know that Ange had Dom when she was 14 and Chloe when she was at medical school (presumably within her first 2 years or so).
Dom turned 32 and there is at least 4 yrs between him and Chloe. This means Chloe is around 27/28. Is she not very young for her grade?

You used to get short birth certificates that didn't have the parents details on at one time. I have one of these and had to apply for a copy of my full birth certificate when I needed it for identification purposes. Nothing dodgy about mine but I did go out with a guy years ago who was adopted and never told about it. He had a short certificate and when he applied for the full one there was no record of him as his adoptive parents had changed his name. Thing is you could tell because the short certificate was signed and dated by the registrar 9 months after his birth date.

So, usual Holby nonsense as a 32 year old man would have needed his full birth certificate at some point.

Holby HR don't concern themselves with DBS checks, any random can walk in and start work straight away! Consultants can walk out the door without giving any notice, not like they would have any patients on their list to handover.

Yeah Chloe is the wonder kid, but you know she'd be so upset Dom had a better life than her.... 😕

Well.. she's a registrar at the moment and put her phD on hold. I imagine if she did an intercalated masters during her medical school years so it became 6 years instead of 5 before doing her FYs.. so she's been a registrar for 2 years? if she's 28?
