How do you know she was forced? She seems very driven and competitive and determined not to let her disability hold her back.

I agree Lauren is a triathalete she knows the limitations of her arm and what she can do I can't see Laureen being forced into anything

I enjoy watching the ringers. Better than sitting through 15 Susannahs. I accept that they won’t win, but I am not getting any false modesty or humblebrag type vibes from any of them.

I reckon Joe will be in it for a ling while given the number of views he’s getting. Like pps have said, his Charleston was too similar to the jive, and I didn’t think it had enough swivel in it.

Am I right in thinking Katie wasn't in the Clauditorium for the rest of the show? I need to rewatch in its entirety as I missed loads last night, including her dance and criticism.

I actually wish Brendan (6ft?) was dancing with Vick. Nothing against Graziano but his dancing/choreography doesn't seem up to scratch, it's a bit awkward to watch and not fair on Vick. Brendan was a PITA but I loved watching him dance and he could choreograph. I never really minded his spats with the judges, it's all theatre. Strictly's missing a villain

Katie wa ps spotted towards the end I think. I’m not sur if she was missing or just at the back somewhere unobtrusive for the rest though. There are a lot of people up there and she might just have been quiet at the back.

There’s a huge difference between being “not sure” and being forced into something. Lots of the celebrities aren’t sure about many aspects of what they are asked to do. I think it’s unfair to make her out to be a weak willed female being manipulated by a victory hungry pro.

If any celebrity injures, say, a leg doing a lift they are screwed for the following week. They all still do lifts. Are they all being manipulated by victory hungry pros? Some of the moves Jonny did last series risked his one ankle but I don’t recall anyone implying he was bullied into doing them.

A sprained wrist could have been strapped up for a less physical ballroom dance anyway,

Lauren and AJ will work out the dances Lauren and Aj are not going to put lauren in danger so Aj can win. Again she is an athlete competative and knows her limitations she isn't a feeble little girl

Seconded. There are dancers who are atrocious, know they are atrocious, and yet are confident enough to go with it and still enjoy the experience.

Katie isn't one of them. She has tremendous personal courage, and is a lovely girl in every way, but her self-consciousness is crippling her. I don't know whether it is because of her partial blindness that makes her feel vulnerable when she has to move backwards, or whether she is in physical discomfort (she must have a lot of scar tissue), or what, but the poor girl isn't happy.

Ironically, I think Anton would have been a better partner for her, rather than sticking him with SC. I felt sorry for Susannah last week, but this week I don't any more - I think she's a bolshie cow, and probably takes no notice of Anton's advice.

She surely HAS to be in the dance off - and I hope she goes, the bladder-faced wassock!
