Anyone going to be watching this? Starts this Sat, 22nd Sept, at 9.15pm on BBC1. It sounds quite interesting and has high ratings.

I really liked the first episode and how they've very quickly listed her classic psychopathic traits. She plays completely lacking in empathy eerily well.

People who have seen the whole series, does it get much darker than this?

MrsAird · 20/09/2018 11:20

"does it get much darker than this?"

I would say not. It's gory, clever, blackly humorous, but it's never cheap or exploitative.

Finished watching on iplayer yesterday, it's so compelling!

TwistedStitch · 20/09/2018 11:22

I've just finished the whole season on iPlayer. I'm really squeamish- hate horror, gore, gratuitous violence etc and it was absolutely fine for me. Loved it!

Cosmos45 · 20/09/2018 11:38

I can't watch anything dark but am loving this. It's very witty and humorous and a bit far fetched in a good way. Yes it is based on a psychopath, but she is strangely endearing. I binge watched 8 episodes in 3 days.. (on iplayer) and loved loved it. This is from someone who couldn't get past episode 2 of Breaking Bad due to the body in the acid bath incident..

MyYoniFromHull · 20/09/2018 13:58

I binge watched it all. In one day Blush There was stuff I was supposed to be doing but damn you iPlayer with your easy boxset malarkey.

It was excellent, one of the best series I've watched for years and I enjoyed it a lot. Sandra Oh was much more interesting in this than in Greys IMHO.

Nutellaoffaspoon · 20/09/2018 15:20

Ooo I'm quite excited now.

I'm fine with a bit of gore, as long as it's not too much, but then I guess that's subjective. I'm ok with a bit of violence, as long as it's not sexual. I'm out if it contains anything like that. Difficult to find a good series these days without that tbh.

Beaverhausen · 20/09/2018 15:21

Wait till episode 8! did not think i would enjoy it but boy george was i wrong, it keeps you hooked.

Cosmos45 · 20/09/2018 15:30

Nutella there’s definitely no sexual violence.. it’s actually very funny.. I honestly can’t watch anything above a 12 normally or a PG (Blush). I’m very very sensitive and believe things I watch are real but this is just very good and you don’t actually get to see much - generally just the scenes after any violence has happened and it’s not grim. I just finished episode 8 - can’t wait for series 2!

diddl · 20/09/2018 16:24

I've just started it-seen 3 on Netflix.

It's OK-but more than one series??

LittleBookofCalm · 20/09/2018 22:30

So much enjoyed the two episodes I have seen

BlessedBeTheFruitCake · 21/09/2018 09:24

Great series, I've watched 6 now thanks to finding out it's on iPlayer. Parts are very funny, not too gruesome or dark considering it's about an assassin.

cherrytree63 · 24/09/2018 09:10

I watched it over two evenings. Really enjoyed it and thought Jody Comer played her part brilliantly.
OH fell asleep part way into E1 and I'll watch it again with him, but in the meantime can someone tell me who the woman in the opening scene was?
It didn't look like Villeneuse (sp), was wondering if it was a flashback to het childhood?

cherrytree63 · 24/09/2018 09:12

Just googled and it was Villainelle. I thought her teeth looked different!

As you were....Blush

madeyemoodysmum · 24/09/2018 09:15

Watched two episodes and enjoying it.

Only thing is Jodie although lovely is not ripped enough for me to truly believe she can overcome all these men.

LittleBookofCalm · 25/09/2018 08:43

Now Bodyguard is over, for some, i havent seen the final episode, the media are praising this as being Even better!

spiderlight · 25/09/2018 09:11

It's definitely better than Bodyguard - brilliantly scripted with perfectly timed flashes of humour. I love it.

DontCallMeCharlotte · 25/09/2018 10:45

We watched the first episode and I've been raving about it to everyone. Missed the second episode on Saturday so caught up last night and ended up watching another three. My favourite thing on TV in years and I suspect we will finish it off tonight.

A colleague has watched about three and I am going to struggle very hard to keep quiet until he's finished it off. He will finish it quite soon though because he'll get so sick of me asking "have you seen it? have you seen it? have you seen it?" every day ha ha.

TheLastNigel · 25/09/2018 11:59

I thought I'd hate this. It because I've been off sick for three weeks and run out of telly I give it a go.
Bloody loved it!

diddl · 26/09/2018 10:10

I'm really liking JC in this. Sandra Oh not so much tbh.

CoolCarrie · 29/09/2018 22:12

Bill!!!

longtompot · 29/09/2018 22:32

Noooo!! I guessed it was going to happen. I said to dh they are making you love the character before she kills the, off :(

OP posts:
CoolCarrie · 30/09/2018 20:57

I know! Poor Bill, the panic he felt when she saw him and the gleeful way she stabbed him was chilling. Sorry to see David Haig out of the series, he is an excellent actor.

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 30/09/2018 21:42

Not read the thread as only on episode 5! But I just wanted to share it with someone! This is so good!!! The beginning in the forest lane, now the dinner Grin so so good.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 30/09/2018 23:30

I’ve just binge watched the entire 8 episodes.
It’s got a really dark humour. Jodie Comer was excellent.
3 amazing female actresses. ( Sandra oh and Fiona Shaw).
Not going to post any spoilers as I really want more people to watch it.

I loved the Bodyguard but this was 100 times better.

LatinForTelly · 01/10/2018 09:26

Watching this too. Can anyone tell me, is her flat (in Paris I think...where she met her 'boyfriend' anyway in ep 2) the same as the one in Before Sunrise ... and something else too. I feel like I'm always seeing that courtyard and that staircase in things set in Paris. Is driving me mad!

Loving this. V sad for Bill though. I knew he was for the chop when he was saying to his baby 'daddy's going to die...' in a sing song voice.
