I just wanted to see if anyone else has watched this? I had never heard of it and stumbled across it on Netflix. It is SO GOOD! I binge watched the entire two seasons this week. As long as you don’t mind subtitles you should give it a whirl. It is recent 2017 & 2018. So many very famous Swedish actors and comedians of both sexes. The characters are very realistic and highly developed and I liked how honest and real the relationships between parents and children were. The humor was great as well, so many very funny situations and interactions that were also believable.

Has anyone watched it and wants to chat about Lisa and Patrik?

Oh I loved this! I'm surprised by how sympathetic the show was to Lisa considering she'd behaved pretty badly Shock, however I do love how flawed but likeable all the characters are.

I really covet Lisa's wardrobe and their house!

Also love how they say "kiss" all the time, puss!
Really hope there is a series 3.

viques · 08/01/2019 23:32

thanks for the heads up on this one. It will make a good break between my other current binge watches of Vikings and El Chapo, less blood and funnier though still about bad relationships!

viques · 08/01/2019 23:40

Am loving the contained and polite sniping of the counsellors (in public) and their downright hostility in private!

LittleSwede · 09/01/2019 08:06

Series 3 is starting on SVT in Sweden this month, hope it makes it onto Netflix this year!

I say "puss" to DH all the time by the way, must be a Swedish thing (grin)

Another fan here!! Loved this and looooove Patrick....Wink

I also loved Rita, Borgen and the Killing.

Only minus is it's hard to do the ironing with subtitlesGrin. I love the way they speak English, the accents are so sexy.

Can't wait for season 3 of this!

chillydawg · 09/01/2019 13:40

Oh and yes to the pp that mentioned the male therapist looking like frank skinner! I couldn't get past it!

saveyourkissesforme · 11/01/2019 07:46

Really enjoying this. Thanks for recommending.

Great characters. A real mix of personalities. Interesting to imagine how the families would have been pre split...very different of course. I'm assuming that they met at the school?

irishe · 20/01/2019 01:09

Loved this, thanks for recommendation!

Anyone who enjoyed this should watch Rita, similar comedy drama with sad bits vibe.

I usually watch dark crime drama but was entranced by this, very enjoyable.

I am totally hooked on this now from this thread ! Thanks for recommending it

mydogisthebest · 31/01/2019 15:46

I persevered with this (DH didn't) and it did grew on me. I really don't class it as a comedy though.

I really could not believe that Lisa got "accidentally" pregnant again!

bramblepop · 13/07/2019 14:56

New season is on Netflix now!

bramblepop · 13/07/2019 21:18

Patrik and Lisa's house does NOT look like a toddler lives there.

EleanorReally · 14/07/2019 12:54

Had Martin met the learning support lady in series 2? Confused

wizzywig · 14/07/2019 12:56

Woohoo. I was happy when i got a notification from netflix that there was a new series. Have also started watching Arne Dahl on amazon (I think), grim but addictive

WaxOnFeckOff · 14/07/2019 13:06

Just looking to see if there was a thread on this as watched the seasons before and now on last episode of Season3 :) Anyone made it past episode 8 yet? I have a bit of an issue but obvs don't want to give any spoilers... :)

Pikapikachooo · 14/07/2019 13:35

I am
Loving !!!! I really like how the Swedish manage to avoid outright hostility and the therapy

I am in the sushi 🍣 episode 😂😂

No spoilers

Also love foul mouthed little eddy

I like lisa . She is human and flawed but tries to be a good person

WaxOnFeckOff · 14/07/2019 13:45

The only thing that annoys me about this is that I tend to watch on PC, usually when I watch a series, I suss out everyone's voices and then I switch onto other windows to browse things while listening. I keep forgetting it's subtitled!! :o

DH was laughing the other day when I was turning up the volume (he was making a noise) as I couldn't hear. :o

EleanorReally · 14/07/2019 16:12

the subtitles force you to concentrate, which must be good.

WaxOnFeckOff · 14/07/2019 16:31

Definitely good but something in my head forgets that i'm reading and I flick away to google something and think "oh wait, I don't understand Swedish....!!"

All finished Season 3 now. Hoping there is a 4 at some point. Still enjoying it and there are still places to go with the characters.

bramblepop · 14/07/2019 21:26

I like how they keep describing things as "cozy" but I'm still not entirely sure what they mean.

WaxOnFeckOff · 14/07/2019 21:31

yep, cozy is season 3s "top Class" from season 2. I think it's maybe like the Swedish version of Hygge?

SinkGirl · 14/07/2019 21:34

Ooh if Petra Mede is in it I’ll have to watch (big Eurovision fan 😂)

thatone · 16/07/2019 06:50

So glad to see this back, it is addictive.

supercee · 16/07/2019 12:24

I'm on S1 E2. The therapist reminds me of the Great British Menu judge Oliver Peyton.

Pikapikachooo · 16/07/2019 20:52

Its such a welcome re appearance

I love how the kids are more
Moody teens this series and giggle at so much

I also really like the bond between martins ex and current partner - how civilised they are
