I just wanted to see if anyone else has watched this? I had never heard of it and stumbled across it on Netflix. It is SO GOOD! I binge watched the entire two seasons this week. As long as you don’t mind subtitles you should give it a whirl. It is recent 2017 & 2018. So many very famous Swedish actors and comedians of both sexes. The characters are very realistic and highly developed and I liked how honest and real the relationships between parents and children were. The humor was great as well, so many very funny situations and interactions that were also believable.

Has anyone watched it and wants to chat about Lisa and Patrik?

Ooh, am home from work poorly and want something to snuggle down and watch, this sounds ideal (once Homes Under the Hammer has finished, obvs Grin)

I watched this and i liked it. Lisa annoyed me. I learned Danish for years and i still cant understand it but i put this show on and it seems i find it easier to understand Swedish than i do Danish. Weird.

TheReturnoftheSmartArse · 22/11/2018 14:41

I'm so pleased to see this thread! I watched it because it was recommended on this thread a couple of months ago but I had no idea there was a second series. I'm downloading it as we "speak" for my commute home tonight.

Patrik is a total hunk. He was a neonazi in 'the bridge'. I think it was the bridge. And gugge has died recently in real life. She was a singer. Im only on the first episode. Absolut, absolut

Destinysdaughter · 22/11/2018 16:32

HunkyDory69 you’re welcome, I really enjoyed it!

LittleSwede · 22/11/2018 16:41

Wow, can't believe I've missed this until now! Thank goodness for Mumsnet and the OP Smile.

Being Swedish in the UK I've heard many good things about this show from my mum but had no idea it's on Netflix!

Will watch with wine once DD us in bed!!

There were two seasons of a really good danish show set in a newspaper . It was called something like Dagbladet, not that but.... omg what was it called?
It was really good.

oh yes! that was it. I thought that was very good, if you haven't watched it yet, mor dig godt!

wizzywig · 25/11/2018 22:13

Awww episode 10! Top class!

mydogisthebest · 29/11/2018 09:48

Does it get better? Me and DH watched the first episode last night and were not keen at all. The only funny bit was the two boys jumping/falling from the roof.

We love all the Swedish crime dramas who were looking forward to this

TheMagician · 29/11/2018 17:51

@mydogisthebest, watch Dicte! That's more ''hard hitting'' in its style, tackling issues Grin but revolves around a news room, with some collaboration/competition with the police and some personal lives thrown in too. More what british people expect from Denmark and Sweden. Okkupert from Norway is brilliant and on netflix if you haven't seen that. That is your typical scandi fare.

mydogisthebest · 29/11/2018 20:11

We have watched Dicte. I think we have seen them all. We liked it but much preferred The Bridge, The Killing and others in the same vein.

TheMagician · 29/11/2018 22:35

Yes, Scandinavia can't produce tv programmes quickly enough for me.

I think there's a season of the bridge that I haven't watched yet. I hope it shows up on netflix eventually.

raspberrycordial · 06/12/2018 20:25

Great show and I love Martin now he's calmed down. I think he's an amazing actor-his facial expressions are so good and he's really natural slight crush going on here.Blush

LittleSwede · 09/12/2018 20:43

Nearly finished watching season 2, don't want it to end!!! Absolutely love it. Top Class Grin

What makes it even more special for me is that it's filmed around the area, where my mum lives. Have walked many a times around that lake where Patrik and Filip exercise then stop for a cheeky beer! That café does a good lunch!

Hope there is a season 3??? Love it!

GaryBaldbiscuit · 10/12/2018 10:24

another one with a crush on MArtin Blush
