I just wanted to see if anyone else has watched this? I had never heard of it and stumbled across it on Netflix. It is SO GOOD! I binge watched the entire two seasons this week. As long as you don’t mind subtitles you should give it a whirl. It is recent 2017 & 2018. So many very famous Swedish actors and comedians of both sexes. The characters are very realistic and highly developed and I liked how honest and real the relationships between parents and children were. The humor was great as well, so many very funny situations and interactions that were also believable.

Has anyone watched it and wants to chat about Lisa and Patrik?

Fascinating how the couple have a double bed but single duvets, is this the norm in Sweden?

LittleBookofCalm · 06/09/2018 08:36

Oh and contrary to Mumsnet opinion they wear coats in cars!

Movablefeast · 06/09/2018 19:10

LittleBookofCalm this is very common in many Northern European countries, we lived in Germany and this was the normal set up for couples. DH and I imported our US King size bed and duvets though, so complete huge duvet rebels!!! Staying at German hotels would drive me mad though as I personally am happy to share a big duvet and found it very weird. They also often have separate mattresses within the bed frame too so there would be a nice crack down the middle, I personally find it a passion killer but I guess 100m + Northern Europeans would disagree...

Just finished watching the two series and absolutely loved it. The school Welfare Officer - Philip?? - was hilarious. Thank you OP for the recommendation, not sure I would have spotted it otherwise. Am really missing it now.

Squiz81 · 24/09/2018 21:52

Watching on your recommendation, really like it so far... Although subtitles really interfere with me browsing the internet whilst watching TV!

Thank you OP for bringing this to my attention. I love it, about half way through series 1. Also, am in love with Henrik Wink.

Thanks for the heads up about this @Movablefeast I've finished both seasons. I really enjoyed it, I miss them all now I'm done. I feel like I need to go and hang out in Ikea to get my Swedish fix.

TwoScottieDogs · 29/10/2018 10:23

Just finished both seasons and loved it! I also loved Rita. Lisa was in Arne Dahl which was a brilliant crime series. I noticed the duvet thing and also all the front doors opening outwards!

I really disliked Eddie to begin with, but he showed a much softer side as it progressed. He was great with Lo and protective towards Wille. I'm really hoping season 3 is in production. Does anyone has any recommendations for anything similar?

TwoScottieDogs · 29/10/2018 10:27

Also love the idea of a "bonus family"! Might start referring to my step mum as my bonus mum!!

LittleBookofCalm · 29/10/2018 10:29

I have noticed the doors opening outwards previously. very ood
