I wonder if Graeme Swann will rule out any other sports person, when watching the recent euro champs coverage Mark Foster mentioned Strictly a few times to Rebecca Adlington, maybe a hint

Simon and Kristina Tango was one of best dances ever on strictly, they should have won, he was brilliant.

I totally agree about Anton Ellen - he is so annoying and so rubbish at Latin. Brenda is a much better dancer and really cared about his partners, even when they were rubbish like last year.

I was lucky enough to be in the audience last year, on the week his partner went out - in the dance off he really gave it his all - we could feel the vibrations of the floor!

I'd love for Anton to be gone too. His "cheeky chappy" persona really grates on me, and how has he been allowed to be useless at Latin for so many years? I do have to admit that I appreciated his self-lampoons last year, though.

I still like him even with his poor Latin.
He remains a guilty pleasure.
The thing is that he adapts to his partners and practically all of them speak well of him. He 'gets' the show. Moreover he tries to make it about the celebs having a positive experience.
Sadly - probably due to the Latin - he will never get a ringer.
Which is a shame as it would shake up the dynamic somewhat and if they can waste one on Janette...

And he dealt with Laila's injury/breakdown at the end of this beautifully.
(the 'race row' - different issue entirely - but there was more to that than met the eye hence why he wasn't sacked).

I love Anton he and Ruth were fab last year. Poor Brenda though but I think he just rubbed people the wrong way and he and shirley clearly didn't get on, I think Brenda fancied her head judge slot.

I do agree Anton can be annoying but he is brilliant with his celebrity and always tries to get the best out of them. Even when he gets a Duffer he gives his all and never seems to look pissed off. Didn’t Brenda dance rings round Anastacia in one of her last dances?

Gok Wan being announced today??

I sometimes wonder how Brendan felt the week he was ill and Gorka stepped in for him to partner Anastacia - and was amazing with her. She danced like a different woman! I remember that afterwards, all the fans were vociferously calling for the swap to be permanent

I agree he always makes it a positive experience and seems to have fun, no matter who he's paired with. Brendan on the other hand would argue with even constructive criticism and make it really negative. Plus he's just got a sleazy/smarmy vibe to me.

I would love Gok Wan to be in! Anthony was my favourite member of Blue (noughties teen here) so I hope it's him, not keen on Lee.
