Is there a Strictly 2018 thread yet?

Lots of rumours of who is going to be on but none confirmed as far as I know.

Anyone else think It's pretty predictable who will get paired up even my 6 year old ds guessed 5 of them right

So, I hadn't followed the big reveals over the last few weeks and I didn't know who was in.

I'd only heard of two of the 'celebrities' - Kate Silverton, and the Causualy guy whose real name I can't remember but I watch Casualty he plays my least favourite character and acts really badly. It's going to take me until at least halfway through the show to be able to begin to remember who is who of the ones remaining.

Best bit of the show was Anton on the glitterball. I watched it wondering what Monkseal's going to say...

I'm sad that there's no Brendan this year. I do so hope that Bruno retires after this season. He simply isn't funny any more.

Who is that gorgeous new female professional dancer. A great dancer and great legs. Her hair is long - mousy and blonder towards the ends ...

Anton on the Glitterball was fabulous he just get shooting glitter about like a camp spiderman 😂

Found her - Luba Mushtuk. Shame she doesn't have a celebrity partner. Maybe next year.

Next time I'm watching Strictly while reading your thread. I didn't notice lots of what you've mentioned and I'm sure you'll all be funny.

I read last years' winner, Joe has refused to perform this year as didn't like the music chosen . I never thought he was a worthy winner anyway so won't miss him.

The report I read said he wanted to do one of his other dances and not the one chosen by the producers. They wouldn’t budge.

Just FYI there’s an official Strictly Podcast this year (perhaps last year too?).
I listened last night and it gives quite a lot of insight - KFG was saying that while technically they know it could be any if the female slebs it’s easy to narrow your selection down on height alone.

One of the producers was describing the process of matching them up too, it was quite interesting in spite of the overly enthusiastic presenter. Scott Mills was good though.

Robin is not involved in any Strictly series and is about to give up dancing and move abroad (according to his FB). Gleb and Artem are on the USA series though.

I'd love a podcast, will have to look out for that.

Swanny is funny and very hard working. I think there's a good chance he'll be in the final.

Interesting how many said they were out to win it. Usually they go on about taking part, but no, this year it's WIN.

Was I the only one who found the editing on the opening number horrific? There are just too many cuts - I really couldn't work out what was happening. I would be so pissed off if I were the choreographer!

My guess for first one out is the Pussycat Doll. She's going to be seen as a ringer and I think her attitude won't click with the audience. She'll be a good dancer though. Susanna will stay in for longer than she deserves because of Anton.

First one off is always someone mediocre who isn't well-known or appealing to the Strictly audience. They could be someone capable of improvement, but thems the breaks. PCD woman will be very good and nowhere near the bottom two.

Susannah will be our first.
