It annoys me because it’s like the script writers either know nothing about who anyone is or they think we’re too daft to see their mistakes

I'm kind of hoping the terrible writing forgot that Alfie was supposed to be the Dad as I really quite like Hayley. And once the big Alfie as Dad reveal happens, it will all go crap and she'll have to leave.

With the Nan thing, lots of families use family terms for people that aren’t strictly accurate.

kush and carmel were brilliant last night - poor Hayley , her mum was horrible and to end that way was a bit distressing. she must be close to due date soon and still not showing much either.

In an episode in the last few months MO mentioned being an 82 year old woman when complaining about the cleaning job. She looks no where near that. Although it would make her the right age as everyone's Nan. How old is the actress?

I agree that was a difficult scene to watch. Hayley is turning it to be a great actress though.
I think that Hayley's Mum or Dad are related to Brian as Jean talks a lot about watching what was happening as Hayley grew up and talking to her Mum. So they must have been involved in an equal generational level - iyswim?

I also hope she doesn't lose the baby.
