True about Peter, SgtFred, he came across as very creepy. Henry couldn't get the money, so Johnny and Jenny bought the pub. I think it took about 20 mins.

I don't like the character of Abi, but the actress that plays her is wonderful. I hope Abi and Steve don't get together, Abi is even worse than Tracy and I quite like Steve and Tracy as a couple. She's always liked Stwve more than he liked her all through their relationship over the years.

I'm very bored of the Kate/Alya and the estranged family story, I don't care about any of them and, although she does it well, am soooo bored of seeing her cry.

Jenny looks great behind the bar, she seems to have gained strength from it and their marriage looks back on track unfortunately.

The Sally storyline sounds like it's going to be silly.

I agree Honeyroar, I really dislike Abi, but I think the person playing her is good, and creating a plausible character (not easy in the current Corrie). I don't like where it's going with Sally. I always feel that she's being punished for being aspirational. She deserved to be Mayor and it was shitty to take it off her. Now criminal proceedings. Not good.

Yes you're right, they've always used Sally's ambition as a comic factor, be it her wanting her kids to go to good schools, her wanting to get an office job at the factory or being the mayor. She'd have gone a long way in real life. I wonder if, after a long drawn out court case, she might get her "reputation" back? After a free Deardrie type palaver.

I'm not sure if it's me or the storylines jumping around. Maybe I've developed narcolepsy and am falling asleep....?!

Have Abi and Steve kissed? I get the impression they have but maybe I'm making it up?

Also, what was the verdict of Aidan's inquest and are the still going to try and take the factory off Alya?

You're not alone, Catherine! They seem to pick up and put down storylines at random. There was an inquest, the result of which seemed to be that Eva loved Aidan! Abi kissed Steve when he stopped her doing heroin or some such.

I like to watch watch the Omnibus version and this one made me cringe a bit at the, what seemed to me, often "forced" funny bits and the prospect of a "Free Sally" campaign makes me yawn. I think the Abi character is a good one and kudos to the actress playing her. It could open the can of worms about how easy it is to conceive a child and how difficult it is to actually raise it, but I doubt they will go there. I'm almost missing Phelan lol.

Alya would be a bloody mug to give the factory to that shower of shits, apart from Jenny that is. It was nice to see warmth between her and Sally again, as they were great friends in the past. I wonder if any of the present cast are watching Classic Corrie? They certainly should, as should the script writers.

I don't know the official result of the inquest, but I think that the Connors had decided to stop pursuing the factory.

It's bugging me that they're all suddenly forgiving each other (well forgiving the Connors) after the inquest. Eva telling Johnny to visit, and now perhaps Alya perhaps giving the factory back.

I think that has come up ajandjj. Seem to remember the connors banging on about family and doing right by Suzie by getting the factory back.

I think that's right Sgt., but surely Suzie would have a legal right to Aiden's estate that would make his Will null and void, as she arrived after he'd made it? In which case, why hasn't anyone (even Eva!) thought about making a legal claim.

Doubt the child would have a claim as he left a will and no provision for future children. In Scotland you can’t disinherit your child but dont think that same rules apply in England. We made our will before children but had a clause in it to recognise if we both died.

Maybe I've got it wrong then - I always thought that if you married or had a child after making a Will, the Will became invalid, or at least, could be contested.

I think Imran was pissed off because Toyah stood up to him and was assertive.
