I think Jim just wants revenge (for what I don't quite know, he is the author of his own misfortune) he is just stringing the young one along with promises of money. I mean Liz and steve might cough up a few grand, but that's about it.

The scene with Hannah fiddling the DNA test in front of Steve was unbelievable. He would never have taken his eyes off her, what a joke. Ridiculous even for this story line.

Yes, who is Cormac??

Cormac is the son of the man who was talking menacingly to Adam. He asked Adam if there was a job for him at his firm, Adam said no but there might be a job for him at the bistro his uncle worked at and took the man’s card. Hey presto! Cormac (also ex con) started new job within half an hour. Appears to also know Ryan from Ibiza and pill popping antics. I smell trouble.

I can't make head or tail of it at the moment. Various odd bods being introduced at random; why can't they allow time for stories to develop, and for new characters to get established?

Hannah got a sample from her own brother, she is sending it instead of Steve's, so the DNA test will show that they are brother and sister.

Like others, Adam has had a complete character change. So now we have Cormac and Vicky, both charmless, to add to the deeply unpleasant Evelyn.
