I find the comments that he's gay or asexual a bit daft, just because he hasn't clicked with maybe twenty girls over an eight week period.

If I walked into a club tomorrow there's no guarantee I'd click with the first 20 guys I met.

Once you take the girls who didn't like him out of the equation, the numbers are even lower.

He could've pretended I suppose, as at least some of them have done, but didn't want to.

Let's not forget that he chose Laura1 initially, liked Laura2, got most aroused by the lap dance from Megan. I think he likes blondes, it's just that none of them liked him.

I think saying he got aroused by the dance is a real stretch, no such crudity was shown.

And it's more it's blondes who have went in there. He was just trying to find a girl to couple up with him, but when it came to showing affection he can't do it.

I don't know what he is, none of us do, but I think most folks can't work it out. I do think he has led Alexandra on to play the game but couldn't bring himself to carry it on because it would involve showing physical affection.

Dr Alex is a user and he would decide he fancied a moth that was new to the villa. She just found out what we all knew - he will do anything to stay in (how has he survived this long?) he didn't like her much at all - se was just his passport to stay in. Poor (vapid) Alex F just found out what was obvious to us all.

Sadly he deprived another couple who had a real connection (Jack 2 and Laura) but then he's done that throughout. He should've gone long ago. Pointless and boring Alex attempting and failing to have anything kore than boring and fake...

no doubt in my mind honestly it's the body language towards the lads that gives it away he's gay . it's not a bad thing so why would be a slur .poor lad probably wanted to get on telly thought he could fake it and its all getting a little bit real . shit what he has done to Alexandra though :(

He reminds me of my husband so much. He was the same with no pda, couldn’t see a future, was scared to rush etc. I had to proper work for him and fight for him. He’s amazing now but still doesn’t like pda much. He’s abit of a snob. He prefers natural looking women (not me!) and has said he finds none of the women attractive.

He’s the most funniest and caring man Iv ever met, but he’s a closed book and holds his feelings in. He had only slept with two other women. He definitely shows signs of Aspergers too, he’s socially Awkward.

He always worries what other people think of him, which I reckon Alex does too.

I think for me the worst part is that he knew Alexandra liked Paul and he went out of his way to make sure the other guys pushed Paul to get with Laura, operation rekindle. He knew full well at that point he wasn't interested. No way in hell he didn't. He did it to stay in.

Then when he realised it would involve showing physical affection to her he just couldn't, Even in the car he was saying he wanted to have a relationship with her, then got into the house and decided to end it.

Of all the behaviour on the show, his is the most wrong.

Controversial opinion maybe but I think Alex really wanted to like alexandra. I think that’s why he recouple with her, he wanted to convince himself that he could like her. I think he was lying to himself as much as her but got freaked out by the reality of life on the outside when she started chatting about meeting each other’s families. I think he’s got enough integrity to realise that enough’s enough and stop the relationship before Alexandra became any more involved.
I think Alexandra was completely within her right to get angry with him though.

He’s a user. People should stop making excuses for him.

Yes I agree, I think Alex - out of all of them - is the most excruciatingly aware of the fact that millions are watching his every move. I suppose he is one of a few in there who has something to lose.

If he couldn’t hack it and if he couldn’t bear to get romantically involved with a woman, then he should have bowed out with some integrity intact.

I don’t think finishing it now showed integrity, I think it would’ve meant getting physical with Alexander.

I think if he was worried about having something to lose he wouldn't have treated Alexandra as he has, he'd have picked another friendship couple.

He KNEW he would be on camera 24/7 - probably almost literally in his case.🙄

He should have had the grace and decency to let someone - who was committed to the idea behind the programme - take his place.
Instead he hung on to it. His behaviour has been selfish and spineless.

Other people would not want a friendship coupling. That is, after all, not at the heart of the programme.

Rose, he used Alexandra to stay in. Just like they have almost all used someone at some point, or tried to.

Including Wes using Laura, Josh using Georgia, Jack2 using Laura, Megan using whatsisname from Casa Amor, Ellie using Alex etc.

Plus the ones who grafted hard, Idris for example, but didn't convince anyone they were really interested.

Plus the ones we don't know about because they're still keeping up the act.

It's a game show, where you survive by coupling up. Naive to think they're all genuine imo.

He is not the only one “who has something to lose”. Why on earth assume he is? That is pretty condescending to the other contestants, actually.

Naive? Pfft. I am aware it’s entertainment but the others - all of them - were interested in forming some sort of connection - you know the boy girl thing - with someone else. Not him, though.

I'm not an affectionate person but Alex is just cold as ice lol
Even I would be feeling insecure/paranoid.

Alexandra is a real person not a chess piece.

He hasn't just used Alexandra to stay in. He's used Samira, Ellie1, Charlie2, Grace and tried to use Laura2 until Jack2 got in there first. Anyone else I've missed?!
