Here we go again

Dr Alex spent a while working in Thailand/Vietnam didn't he? In my friends experience it was when doing that that they got to do things like C-sections. One friend had to do one in an emergency having only observed before (life and death and no one else around), she was in West Africa (somewhere).

And I think he is perfectly fine talking to women - except when its "romantic". We've only seen snippets, but he has given good advice and talked quite normally to Laura (1), and was good with Georgia at one point.
Personally I'd rather be seen by him that some of the Doctors I have seen in the past.

I think the dani and jack being close before the show is rubbish, surely it’s just the 6 degrees of separation effect in play. If they had known each other imagine how much the papers would of paid for a photo of them together before love island!

Wasn’t it on here someone said they were talking to someone who was at drama school with Georgia, the media could make out that person must know Georgia then as they have a person in common!

I wish Alexandra would friendship couple with Laura, I would vote for them to win!

I don't think Alex is a bad person. I think it's quite telling how popular he is with the other islanders, they're living with him 24/7, I'm sure if he was a patronising arse he wouldn't be.

Kindness counts for an awful lot in my opinion, and I think he was hamming up the Dr bit last night when 'assessing' the babies. As a friend and I suspect a colleague and doctor, Alex is great. As a partner, not so much.

The first look clip could go either way really. From past experience it is often chosen to hint at the opposite of what really happened eg. Laura seemed a lot more "bunny boiling" about the Britney kiss in first look than the real episode.

Oh good grief, have just seen First Look. How touching was the Alex1’s conversation with Jack about his feelings.

He has basically gone into the villa without the slightest wish to get involved with any of the girls. I think he is either gay or an amoeba. He has had enough attention. I am utterly sick of his antics. Just bore off.

I think fair play to Alex for being honest-he must realise at this stage he could easily just play along for a few more days, but he chooses the difficult but honest path. TBF his family said he had never even watched LI before going in so probably didn't have a scooby do as to what it was really. I don't think he is gay. I think he just knows what he wants from a relationship and this isn't it.

I think with Dr Alex he has totally gone into LI to raise his profile in the hope of being TV doctor. He hasn't cared about forming a relationship with anyone from the start. Even if he doesn't win he is hoping to use LI as a platform. I know that is what they are all doing but at least the rest of them are playing the game. Alex comes across a bit arrogant and thinking he's better than the rest of them. Admittedly he seems to get on with the other boys but with the exception of Laura1 he's been quite patronising and aloof with the girls.

Alex is a junior doctor, he’s still a qualified doctor so he absolutely will be doing sections etc mainly assisting but the more he does the more he’ll be doing if that makes sense. A trainee doctor is a total misnomer as all doctors are trainees until they are consultant level but are often the most experienced medic on the shop floor, certainly overnight.

Not a fan of dr.alex but in his defence I don't think Alexandra is a good match for him. She seems a bit too coarse and basic. In dr.alex's defence again it seems the casting team have had a shocker this year. He's one of the more ' interesting' characters. The general standard not so good this year.

As a % I wonder how much of the budget is spent on Jani?
As a % I wonder how much exposure Jani get as opposed to everyone else?

I do wonder if the general standard of islanders this year is deliberately bad to make Dani and Jack1 stand out.

I think it's obvious they have something in the pipeline for Jack and Dani after the show ends. Much like Chris and Kem have their own spin off show.

The casting hasn't been half as good this year. I wonder why, when they apparently had so many applicants? I can't believe this lot were the best they could find.

They handpicked more from Instagram etc this year rather than genuine applicants. Just goes to show that ordinary people are more interesting!

I am a Dr Alex fan and agree that he has been honest about how he feels rather than just say what is expected of him. He wants to take it slow and it's ok for him to not take it at the pace that others may want him to. He doesnt want a gratuitous fling and He hasn't really fallen for Alexandra. If it was the other around and a girl was saying to take it slow we would all be supporting the girl.

I think Alexandra is lovely but I do think she too is playing a game - wanting to up the action with Alex so that they stand out as a couple. I think she would have gone in with that plan - ie that Alex is popular and that she will be the woman to make him
Come alive. And I think she is frustrated that he hasn't delivered what she wants.

I also think Alex is harbouring a secret crush on Laura 1. That could be wishful thinking on my part though.
