Agreed viennasky. And can you imagine the outcry if Alex had sex with Alex3. He has a professional job with a strict code of conduct. While others on there might be looking for a career change, he isn’t. Why would he chuck it all away for a public fumble? He, more than anyone in there, has everything to lose by being on there. He’s never going to behave like Josh or Jack2, ever. Don’t know why he’s there though! It’s obvious he had no clue what it’s like.

Well I think we can come to the conclusion that whether dr Alex is gay or not, or if he’s just straight laced and awkward, we’re not convinced love island is his kind of place

My husband reminds me of Alex. He doesn’t do “sexy” and much prefers natural and not sexy underwear. He’s so shy, when we first started dating he had only been with2 women and was crap with flirting etc, about shat himself when I dressed sexy, he’s a lot better now lol. But he was quite snobby and wouldn’t show affection in public. He does now thank god

I know a lot of men you could call an intellectual type (not that Alex is one) And while as a long term partner they would look for someone on their wavelength, it doesn't mean they wouldn't find a woman who wasn't their type attractive if they happened to find themselves in bed with them.

I don't think Jack reacted that bad. Yeah he gets defensive but in fairness, he had a point. And he was trying to have a proper rational argument rather than just a blow up. She was 100% acting like he was fully intending to cheat on her and 100% dismissing the good things. He had a right to be proper pissed off.

But she is his match. I liked the way she stood her ground and maintained she had a right to be pissed off too. She definitely can't be talked over.

Of course it's a worry for her - but what can he do for gods sake? It's so frustrating.

Dani has obviously been treated really badly by guys so far. And she’s still so young. And seen her dad cheat on her mum. No surprise she has issues in this area

Re Alex.

Honestly I think he'll settle down with a professional. I don't think he could maintain interest with someone who is a model or whatever. Alex3 is a lovely girl but they're chalk and cheese in terms of personality. Their only common ground is that they're both fairly earnest.

Speaking of models, is it me or is Paul the dullest housemate yet? No chat whatsoever.

The whole Jack1 lie detector and the argument with Dani was so obviously set up it was laughable. They need to test their relationship before they can win. Some of their "lines" sounded so scripted.

As for Dr Alex, I hate to say it because I can't stand him, but I think he did OK with the lie detector. Obviously it was hurtful to Alex3 but as they haven't been a couple as long as the others Dr Alex decided he would come across better being honest than get caught lying on every question. I really don't see where they can go from now though as it's quite obvious that he's just not that into her.
