The nonsense about Alex in my view is women falling for a deeply average, dull, socially inept man just because he’s a junior doctor and he’s on the telly.

I don't think Ellie has a job, she's unemployed, so I can see why she'd accept Charlie is too.

I think Alex comes across as a really nice, gentle man. He's clearly not socially inept as he's hugely popular in the villa. He's simply has the misfortune to be in there with a bunch of females who want the insta blokes,,abs, banter, whatever. He's not that.

I also don't think Alex was acting entitled, I think he simply was trying to couple up and was under huge peer pressure to do so, but sadly it was with a bunch of women he'd probably never go near in real life and vice versa.

There’s no reason to be patronising and belittling to people less intelligent if you respect them - and he’s not particularly bright himself.

I really like Alex. It’s hard to make a judgement of what put other women off, based on brief snap shots. One of those women was Ellie though as she doesn’t seem to be covering herself in glory. I do believe he’s genuinely very popular in the villa and to me that says a lot.

Women did not fancy him going into the villa! For the week or so, nobody fancied him. The only ones who claimed to clearly did so because they know he’s popular and he was their route in.
The way he interacts with the others islanders is lovely to watch - with Samira, Jack, Laura, Adam, Wes, etc. He is completely out of his comfort zone and is making hamfisted attempts to copy the more ‘successful’ blokes. I know that’s what Love Island is, and perhaps he shouldn’t have gone on the show, but to be honest the other men act far more entitled than Alex. The way they treat women as possessions is awful. I don’t understand why one guy is getting the hate for being a less successful dick towards women than the others.

I need to see more of Alex & Alex, but so far I am not getting vibes that Alex3 fancies doctor Alex.

New Jack is manipulative. Charlie (I don’t like talking about my wealth but I will tell millions of viewers) is shallow. Georgia has NO redeeming features whatsoever. I read her bullying of Samira was one of the reasons she walked. Ellie is being portrayed in a way that isn’t nice but doesn’t seem that bad. Meghan is fake.

Apart from Laura and Dr Alex none of them are likeable.

I also think if Dr Alex was a plumber he would come across as a nice guy. I don’t think he has been given more slack because he is a junior Dr.

Megan, Ellie and Charlie went in fancying him and went off him pronto.

I'm also not sure how anyone can say what Ellie is up to isn't that bad. From calling Georgia an ugly cunt, to calling Sam a fucking prick to Megan a cock sucker, and being accused pretty much of bullying charlie by the other boys, I'm not sure how much worse you need it to be for it to be considered bad.

And if this was a bloke saying these things there'd be even more of an outcry. Just because Ellie is a small blonde woman doesn't make it ok. It's not fixed. She's not asked to hurl abusive insults at other contestants. She's doing that all of her own violition and yes will be ejected because of it. I can’t help but think new Alex has been hurt by too many men, knows Alex will treat her well and is trying to make herself like him. I also felt she was kissing him in bed as she felt she should, I never even knew it was possible to kiss someone from such distance, there was so much space between their bodies with just their neck stretched out. I think she preferred one of the exciting bad boys but knew that 1) Alex means a free ticket to stay and 2) He won’t hurt her in the same way the others will
