It's soooooooooooooooo cringe.
None of them are more entertaining once they ask the question.. if anything they get less screen time.

unique1986 · 12/07/2018 00:19

But teenagers vote and that's all that matters.

RoseWhiteTips · 12/07/2018 00:23

Idris is a sneak.

Jack 2 is strong but Laur could easily drive him away.

Megan is growing on me. Wes isn’t although he makes me laugh at times.

Really dislike Kieran. Suffocating, indeed. Poor Sam.

SunburstsOrMarbleHalls · 12/07/2018 01:58

I think Meg was really shocked when she found out that she was in the bottom 3 girls the other evening. She is a player and knows that ultimately to win LI you have to have the popular vote from the public, it seems coincidental that she now quickly wants to form a more settled relationship with Wes and make it appear like the love story of the century and erase her fling with Alex

Meg is a strong character but I really dislike the way she seems to occasionally switch on this giggly, shy, hair flicking insecure act when her actions previously have shown that she is actually a bold player who is self assured and goes for what she wants without hesitation. I wish she would just be genuine and own her confidence.

RainySeptember · 12/07/2018 03:06

I wish Megan would stop going on about how 'geeky' and 'awkward' she is. It's like she wants to be seen that way, even though I've not seen any evidence for either. Reminds me of Georgia's pretend 'loyalty'.

I also think Megan can't possibly like Wes as much as she's making out. She was with Wes and on the brink of coupling up with him when he went to the other villa and she moved seamlessly to Alex2, telling the girls how much she preferred him to Wes.

She's just accelerating the relationship because she's consistently in the bottom 3.

RainySeptember · 12/07/2018 03:14

And no one is happy when their partner is taken on a date. Just look at what Jack2 and Sam were saying in the confessional. They're all just better at pretending in public than Laura is. And given the fragile and recent reconciliation I think she had more cause to worry than most.

Regarding Georgia. She told Sam a lot of things she'd told Kieran on the date but we weren't shown any of them. Could be the editing I guess, could be (another) lie.

I also think Kaz knew she was being a bit disloyal pushing Idris towards Alexandra, she got him on his own and kept checking the door as she spoke.

Bizarretortoise · 12/07/2018 07:27

Sunbursts and Rainy you have it on the money with Megan. She’s as much awhward as I am fluent in mandarin. She thinks Wes is popular with the public and knows that she isn’t. I think she does prefer him to the other blokes in there, but not as much as she’s professing to. She’s playing a game.
Poor Samira. I don’t think Frankie will be waiting for her on the outside, but it’s hard to have finally been in a couple and then have that snatched away after a few days.
I’m on the fence re Alex/Alexandra/Idris. Maybe it would have looked too much like a set up if she’d only shown interest in Alex, or maybe he was her ‘in’ and she’ll go for Idris. Alex did revert to the nervous lad speak on the date (he hasn’t said ‘sick’ for days), but he seemed a lot more relaxed when they were talking by the pool.
Looks like tomorrow night is to be the Georgia show. Ugh. I bought into her loyal act originally, but boy does she like the drama. It’s too much.

MsJolly · 12/07/2018 07:37

Kaz definitely knew she was going against the opinions of the entire group when she was encouraging Keiron to go for it with Alexandra-that's why she kept checking over her shoulder making sure no one was coming in the bedroom to catch her. She's gone down in my books for that alone. It's ok to have your own opinions-just own them rather than being a snake about them.

Bluntness100 · 12/07/2018 07:44

I suspect Megan was geeky at school looking at the pics and her father paid for the surgery. I suspect there is a back story there, potentially of bullying or something.

Remember when Laura and wes were having all the arguments, and she asked Ellie if she liked him, wes said something about he was scared to say the wrong thing. He got a rabbit caught in the headlights look about him. Jacks got that same look going on.

And yes kaz kept checking the door to make sure no one saw her pushing Idris to thr new girl. Laura was more open, she just butted in when she was saying how handsome Alex was with "but have you seen the new boys" . In fact she did it a couple of times untill she was heard.

I can't think why they wouldn't want Alex and the new girl to couple up. Unless as said, they think the couple may then become competition to them. Alex and the new girl seem way more suited to each other than anyone else who has been in there.

QueenOfMyWorld · 12/07/2018 07:47

Megan really likes Wes but in the villa only, once she sees the footballers and z list stars on offer when she gets out she'll dump him

lilypotter88 · 12/07/2018 08:07

I missed the tomorrow night clip, what happened please xx

NeverTalksToStrangers · 12/07/2018 08:07

I thought Laura was mentioning the new boys to give Alexandra another option should she go off Alex, veering her away from her implied attraction to Jack2. I don't think she was trying to put her off Alex.

Bluntness100 · 12/07/2018 08:11

The new girl has already been very clear it was Alex she was into, it was at the end of that convo that Laura pushed her to the new boys. It was nothing to do with jack, she already knew the new girl wasn't going there, as witnessed by her comments in the diary room she didn't need to freak out...

Missbrick1 · 12/07/2018 08:12

i’m judging the Megan crap because although i’m sure she is insecure & felt awkward at school etc. you can’t peddle the starry eyed innocent new love rubbish when your involved in the sex industry.

General question but why is it more scary/nerve wracking to ask someone to be your boyfriend/girlfriend then sleeping with them? I feel old.

Missbrick1 · 12/07/2018 08:17

I think I like Laura because she is messy & cant hide her emotions. She’s reacted how myself or friends would react if in her situation although I’d like to think i’d have more control. I’m sure she’d be the first to admit she’s acting like an idiot.

Bluntness100 · 12/07/2018 08:38

I struggle with Laura, she comes across to me as self indulgent, attention seeking, needy, drama loving, and quite controlling with men. I really don't think she cares who she is in a relationship with, she just wants young and fit.

By her own admission she knew it wasn't right with wes, and she knows it's not right with jack either. That will end as soon as the show is done, if not sooner. And they both know it.

AliasGrape · 12/07/2018 08:47

Loved Jack’s little excited dance when he was giving Alex the pep talk!

Agree that Megan’s ‘I’m so geeky and shy and awkward and I don’t know how to play the game’ act is wearing really thin. I want to like her, but girl you’re a stone cold shark, just own it.

SunburstsOrMarbleHalls · 12/07/2018 08:50

Laura's popularity increased when she split from Wes, the mature and classy way she handled the situation was great and it was the complete opposite of how she had been previously behaving. Before the split she was becoming more and more argumentative with Wes over the slightest thing.
Bluntness100 is spot on when she describes it as a startled look that Wes and now Jack also has and I remember Wes saying "that he was frightened to say the wrong thing" implying that Laura could be volatile. It's a shame as I think she is a lovely but she is making a casual relationship very hard work when it should be fun and uncomplicated.

ffaith · 12/07/2018 08:53

Kaz gave Idris the pep talk about going after the new girl and quite right too. Just because Alex is the fav. of the more established Islanders (with big personalities) doesn't mean he is everyone's fav. He's had more chances than most and blew them. He's in direct competition with other boys for the affection of the new girl. They haven't had as many chances as he has had.
Jack1 even had the cheek to infer that cuz Alex had been there longer than Idris Idris should give him 1st dibs on the new girl.

Kaz hasn't got a big personality and the pro-alex mood in there must be quite intimidating so good for her going against the grain.

MsJolly · 12/07/2018 09:05

It wasn't a problem for me that Kaz gave the pep talk, it was the way she did it-sneakily in the bedroom whilst checking the door over her shoulder that no one else could hear her.

Bluntness100 · 12/07/2018 09:09

Idris is all grown up, there was no need for kaz to step in and encourage him to go for it. It's not that big a villa and if the new girl and him were attracted to each other they'd have found a way.

I'd be surprised if she picks Idris though to be honest.

And I think sunbursts nailed it, these are casual relationships that should be fun, they are for the other couples, it's really only hard work and stressful for anyone that Laura is involved with, sadly enough. Who wants to work that hard at the beginning when you're not even a couple?

Missbrick1 · 12/07/2018 09:11

Agree Laura is a bad picker “Bluntness100”

RoseWhiteTips · 12/07/2018 09:18

Kaz is showing her true self. Hilariously sneaky.

RoseWhiteTips · 12/07/2018 09:20

Megan thinks she’s geeky? Lol
Don’t think she knows the meaning of the word. It connotes intelligence for one thing.

Bluntness100 · 12/07/2018 09:23

Yeah it was the sneakiness and the furtive door looks that did it for me too.

The thing is it's a game, what difference does it make to her who the new girl couples up with. Why her over investment in making sure it's not Alex?

I get why the others are invested in Alex, but not why kaz is so determined to get the new boy coupled up with thr new girl. She even said to old jack "of course you're on his side" why is their sides? As said, I think it's because if Alex and Alex hit it off they will be competition to win. Newbies seldom are.
