Maybe they just thought it was dull as heck and we'd seen plenty of shots of Samira and Frankie snogging in bed, and we'd be much more interested in seeing Ellie hurl abuse at Georgia or Laura getting all upset again.

Remember there is at least 23 hours a day we don't see and they need to make a very fast decision on what makes the cut. It's a really quick turnaround.

Not that I'm over-invested or anything, oh no, but I just watched the some of the Saturday show and there was lots of great stuff with Samira. I'm absolutely sure that if Megan had been licking honey off someone it would have made the main show!

The dull argument doesn't wash - it's extremely dull to watch Megan and Wes (irrelevant how they go together they're basically two very dull people), or Josh and Kaz or Jack and Dani. I don't believe that the other couples who haven't got air time were any more tedious than that. At least it would have been a change from the same old.

My first series too. Not seen how it works towards the end but Dani and Jack have got to be the winners for staying power if nothing else. They are anodyne and seem quite sweet.
The idea of Alex 1 being in a winning couple does not sit well with me - because the new female will not be genuinely connected to him. Don’t like the idea of someone else waltzing in and winning solely because she has managed to couple up with a popular contestant.

Can’t say I’m surprised to read that Idris is pretty much illiterate. I could never faaaaaancy a guy who was thick. His looks leave me cold, as well.

Agree that if they showed couples sitting around kissing and gazing into one another's eyes that would be boring. BUT Jack and Dani are boring and yes they've had their moments but the amount of screen time given to them is completely disproportionate. And to ensure they could give them even more air time they concocted the dreadful farce of showing Dani the clip of the other villa which made a mountain out of a molehill (in the same way as Georgia and the kiss farce).

I just found this thread! This is my first year watching LI and I’m addicted to it (apart from the Dat night show).
My favourite because she appears to be the only genuine person is Laura. I hope she doesn’t fall for Nrw Jack as he is playing a game.

I’m not a fan of Dani and don’t think she deserves to win as the ‘oldest’ couple.

I like Ellie too but I don’t believe she is interested in Sam?

Everyone (except Laura) seems so immature. ‘Will you be my boyfriend/girlfriend’?!?!?! Is that a thing now in real life? I have only once been asked that and I was fourteen!

I don’t like the new people. They all look as if they have wandered away from a wrestling ring. Alexandra is too hefty, Idris is too annoying and dense and Kieran is - as someone memorably said - like a pork pie.

That bulky look is deeply unattractive.

I can’t STAND Georgia. I can’t understand why so many of the boys fancy her. Meghan is far prettier tbf but it isn’t natural. Kez and Ellie are so naturally pretty.

I like drama with bits of fun thrown in.
I like watching Ellie and Kaz more than Dani and Georgia atm Wes is a bore.

Oh my god! That Idris messenger chat! EXACTLY why I don’t like him. What an utter knob. How anyone can find him attractive is beyond me. That’s what’s wrong with society these days (I sound so old- I’m only 30!) is that so many women seem to prefer Idris’s over Alexs’s (I know Alex has his bad points too but come on!)

The only entertaining thing was the fireman task - I had to FFW some of that due to the cringe.

I am not surprised that Idris is illiterate, his vocabulary is limited. He works on his looks
( he is gorgeous) but has failed to work on his mind. A total turn off imho

All in all this years LI has been crap.
I loved LI last year and didn’t want it to end.
This year I can’t wait for it to end

Is there a reason they don’t do more dates? It can’t be a budget issue as the dates aren’t exactly fancy?!

Instead of doing the cringe coupling up on the first night they could chuck them all in there, let them get to know each other and go on 3/4 dates then so a coupling up. Then start chucking new folk in. Maybe they do a couple of dates each day, which would offer more material for the nightly show. Maybe the public could even vote for people to go on dates?

Feel like they need to do something other than lie around all day, no wonder such small things get blown out of proportion- they have nothing else to think about!
