I don't know if Raahh is around to start a new thread and I couldn't post on the last one because it's full! Hope you all find this!

Raah how about seeing him at the O2 for the year end finals?

It's a brilliant event and I think he is virtually qualified. My advice would be hold back on buying a ticket until the OOP is announced, so you can be sure of seeing him then get yourself on Stubhub or one of the other secondary sites. There are always hundred of tickets for sale and if you can hold your nerve, some of the prices get cheaper as the event approaches.

Sorry if you're miles from London and this isn't a practical option for you!

PrivateParkin · 06/07/2018 13:38

The O2 is good - I've been a couple of times and seen Djokovic both times as it turned out, but I like your strategic planning One! I hope you get to see Rafa one day Raahh. I've never managed to see Andy Murray either, and I doubt I will now!

Raahh · 06/07/2018 13:39

one I'm in Manchester, which isn't miles awayGrin but it's the timing of it that's the problem (dc etc). I would love to go to the Tour finals though- though I remember my mum taking my gran- on the Sunday- and they missed the end , because of the train Grin!

Oh to be 24 again Grin

Rafa is very close to qualifying for the finals already- though it's a tournament he will never win, I don't think, whilst it continues to be on an indoor hard court. But I'd love to at least see him. My friend was there last year-sent me a grainy pictureGrin.

Raahh · 06/07/2018 13:41

It is a shame about Murray, really. And I've never been a fan.

I bet at the end of 2016, seemingly with the world at his feet, he never imagined how things would pan out. (and would swap his knight hood for a few more years on tour).

JaneJeffer · 06/07/2018 13:44

Raahh I was probably on those threads under a different name (before Jeffreygate) but we only had a dongle then and limited internet time so by the time I had read everyone's posts and said something it would be time to get off Grin the joys of living in the back of beyond! Hurrah for unlimited wifi. I can chat rubbish all day long now.

I can't believe that people born in 1997 are old enough to be married and have babies.

Raahh · 06/07/2018 13:52

Jane I loved some of the old threads- I remember one of the middle Saturday Wimbledon ones. I think it was between Djok and Baghdatis. Novak made himself no friends that day- I remember a bit of racquet smashing. Grin. I think it was 2011?

Sascha seems to have taken control now- the sleep hasn't helped Fritz!

GrouchyKiwi · 06/07/2018 13:53

That was a better game from Fritz. He looked like he was crumbling in the previous two games.

Raahh · 06/07/2018 13:54

Grouchy it's all wrong, isn't it? Grin

GrouchyKiwi · 06/07/2018 13:54

Ooh, Madison Keys is out!

JaneJeffer · 06/07/2018 13:54

Ooh winner plays Gulbis! Imagine if Ernests did a GoranGrin

OP posts:
Raahh · 06/07/2018 13:55

Aww, I like Keys. Sad

GrouchyKiwi · 06/07/2018 13:55

Raahh Yes, so wrong! One of my baby sisters was born in 1998 and as far as I'm concerned she's still 10, not 20, in her second year of university and driving herself around New Zealand.

Raahh · 06/07/2018 13:57

Taylor has a bit of US 50's teenager look about him.

Gulbis is definitely enjoying a second coming this week!I'd all but forgotten about him!

JaneJeffer · 06/07/2018 13:59

Sometimes if I need a laugh I watch Ernests' interviews on YouTube.

Makarova is through to the next round. Take that, Wozniacki.

JaneJeffer · 06/07/2018 14:00

Sascha looking good now. If this had been able to continue last night it would be a different story I reckon.

OP posts:
Raahh · 06/07/2018 14:08

Jane Grin indeed. I hope Caroline is eating humble pie somewhere.

No, Sascha would have faded last night.

Raahh · 06/07/2018 14:09

Sorry, I mean Grouchy Grin

JaneJeffer · 06/07/2018 14:10

He looks relieved.

OP posts:
JaneJeffer · 06/07/2018 14:12

Zverev just looks like a superstar Grin

OP posts:
Raahh · 06/07/2018 14:13

I wonder if Sascha would rather be talking to the Yorkshire journalist he met at RG? Grin

JaneJeffer · 06/07/2018 14:15

I was hoping Wimbledon would issue Yorkshire man with an emergency Press pass!

OP posts:
Raahh · 06/07/2018 14:15

Monfils has been up to his usual tricks- looked like he was injured/couldn't go on a bit ago. Not he's sprinting about like a gazelle. Grin

GrouchyKiwi · 06/07/2018 14:15

The height difference between Kohlschreiber and Anderson is impressive.

Sue really needs to practise people's names before talking through the matches.
