I don't know if Raahh is around to start a new thread and I couldn't post on the last one because it's full! Hope you all find this!

Jane me too! Doesn't appear to be the case, no-one has mentioned him Sad.

Raahh · 06/07/2018 14:17

Grouchy come on now- she can't even be bothered to remember who won what Grin

(I'm still waiting for an apology on the US open faux pas . I hold grudges) Grin

Raahh · 06/07/2018 14:18

I always think of Kohlschreiber as quite tall though- but of course Anderson is one of the giant ones Grin.

PrivateParkin · 06/07/2018 14:24

Raahh it was probably his height that helped him capture that US Open title ... Oh wait...

Raahh · 06/07/2018 14:24

Tennis players falling over make me feel better about my clumsy self.

Monfils looks so different with his short hair.

PrivateParkin · 06/07/2018 15:00

AC is musing on whether we'll ever see Andy Murray at Wimbledon again... which has got nothing to do with the match he's commentating on (tenuous Querrey link).

PrivateParkin · 06/07/2018 15:17

Good win for Gael - he seemed really up for it.

GrouchyKiwi · 06/07/2018 15:18

Pleased to see Monfils go through.

I have now had to cede control of the television to the children. I might steal it back later.

Raahh · 06/07/2018 15:46

I'm in the middle of a two part school run Grin.

Need to leave in about 15 minutes, but might not be back again for about an hour, traffic permitting.

Well done Gael!

Raahh · 06/07/2018 15:48

Private I got quite used to AC talking about things that had bugger all to do with the match in hand, or tennis in general, whilst watching Queen's.

And mentioning Murray is in his contract, I'm sure it is Grin

Raahh · 06/07/2018 15:54

Tsitsipas is playing. He's definitely becoming one of my favourites of the 'young guns'.

Not sure if he is 'doing a Goran' this fortnight- either that or he's not had time to shave between matches. I'm doing beard watch, on AC's behalf. Grin

ferrier · 06/07/2018 15:57

Just seen Tsitsipas. He should be competing against Borg and Gerulaitis!

PrivateParkin · 06/07/2018 16:01

He really should! His game is a bit old school as well. Did anyone see he made the "shot of the day" yesterday with another diving volley?! His 19-year old bones just let him bounce straight back up!

I just can't even imagine attempting it. If I did, I'd be rolling on the court in agony!

PrivateParkin · 06/07/2018 16:03

Speaking of young guns - Hyeong Chung is not at Wimbledon is he - or I haven't heard him mentioned. I know he was injured - presume that's still the case....

Raahh · 06/07/2018 16:53

private no, I've not heard about him since he was forced to withdraw from RG- might have been his ankle?

Briefly saw that Mladenovic was beating Serena before, and got excited. Sadly that was short lived.

I'm glad Venus has drawn her match level- I know which which Williams sister I would prefer to win.

And Stefanos is indeed doing well again- but he steamed ahead the other day, and then Donaldson drew level, so I'm not counting my chickens just yet Grin.

Fizzywinegum · 06/07/2018 17:05

Just watching tsitsipas - he does look pretty old school doesn't he.

It’s really warm here today (Yorkshire) and I feel as if I’ve been running round doing stuff all day when I just want to watch tennis and drink pimms.

MrStarkIDontFeelSoGood · 06/07/2018 17:17

Apologies if this has been said but why does the Umpire keep calling Serena Mrs Williams?

Surely it’s MISS Williams or Mrs Ohanian not Mrs Williams? Confused

Fully paid up member of Castle Is The Worst Club by the way Grin

PrivateParkin · 06/07/2018 17:18

Really enjoyed that - Tsitsipas I mean. Having criticised the men's top half for being rubbish, i have to say today has been v entertaining.

I see Venus is out.

PrivateParkin · 06/07/2018 17:19

MrStark I've been wondering that very same thing...

MirandaWest · 06/07/2018 17:20

I also saw Venus going out. Am watching Serena now

MrStarkIDontFeelSoGood · 06/07/2018 17:21

Perhaps she’s chosen to be styled that way

Does anyone know?

MirandaWest · 06/07/2018 17:21

I was also wondering about the Mrs Williams thing but I don’t know how she wants to be referred to - there’s nothing to stop her being known as Mrs Williams

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 06/07/2018 17:50

Have just Googled it and found a fascinating article here about Wimbledon’s problem with women.

Apparently, it’s a courtesy title that they insist on using. Serena doesn’t get a say Hmm

MirandaWest · 06/07/2018 18:09

Am watching Federer and Struff. Am glad Struff has put a hat on now as easier to tell which is which
