I don't know if Raahh is around to start a new thread and I couldn't post on the last one because it's full! Hope you all find this!

Could be very stressful, the Rafa/Delpo match. Especially if there is football clashing, I will be relegated to court 1 dd1's bedroom again Grin.

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 10/07/2018 19:47

Anyone watching the Murray/Soares doubles match? Who's the woman next to Judy Murray? DH says it's Kim Sears but I'm sure it isn't.

OneInAMillionYou · 10/07/2018 20:19

I think it's Jamie Murray's wife, but I can't recall her name.

I think she is Colombian?

BagelGoesWalking · 10/07/2018 21:21

Quite surprised to find that I'm enjoying Marion Bartoli's analysis on TaW.

Andy and Tim had some food banter, especially about the wine at Andy's wedding being "wine for gravy". He has such a gravelly voice though, will be interesting to hear his commentary. Not finding it as monotone as usual, I must say.

Hope you're feeling better soon, Jane.

Ostapenko is so smiley!

magimedi · 10/07/2018 22:01

Alejandra is her name (Jamie's wife). She is inddeed Columbian.

Looking forward to tomorrow.

The result I most want is Raonic to win - as Isner has stated that he is a great supporter if Trump & would like to invite Trump to the finals if he gets there.

Go trip over your own feet, Isner & lose in three. Angry

magimedi · 10/07/2018 22:02

And meant o say sympathy to you, Jane. I have diverticular probs & know what this can be like.

whatnextfred · 10/07/2018 22:11

Isner said what now? EnvyAngry

PrivateParkin · 10/07/2018 22:30

magi yes, I saw that too! He said he knows people wouldn't like it if he invited Trump, but he doesn't care. Hmm

Honestly, if any of that scenario materialises ie Isner through to a Wimbledon semi (ugh) or the Orange One attending SW19, I am going to implode. I am going on Friday and the thought of Trump being there!!!!... I can't even put my thoughts into words Angry

magimedi · 10/07/2018 22:30

From Reuters:

"The semis will be on Friday if he wins, when Trump is in town, and Isner was asked whether he would like the tennis fan to come and watch him — a rhetorical question given the president’s schedule.

“Certainly. I’d love to have Trump come watch me. That would be awesome. Maybe I’ll tweet at him if I win on Wednesday. I know a lot of people won’t like that, but I don’t care,” he said. "

magimedi · 10/07/2018 22:32

Private - You lucky, lucky thing.

We expect a great report back from you.

Am SURE Milos will win tomorrow so that won't be a priblem for you.

If it is I have some fairly aged eggs I could send you to throw in a certain direction!!

PrivateParkin · 10/07/2018 22:37

Lol magi! Imagine being escorted from Wimbledon for throwing eggs!! Grin

God I hope you're right about Isner! Sending lots of good vibes to Milos about now.

Btw. Has anyone at Wimbledon considered Goran's football-watching responsibilities for tomorrow? Raonic plays second - it could possibly overlap with the World Cup semi!

MirandaWest · 10/07/2018 22:49

Paul Simon was great and was at the Arena. DH and I did much dancing Grin

OneInAMillionYou · 10/07/2018 23:17

I've read that quite a few of the American players are Trump supporters; Isner, Sock and Querrey to name a few.
Makes me support whoever they are playing against!

Raahh · 11/07/2018 06:04

I'm not surprised about the American players (Sangren has been in bother this year for posting neo Nazi tweets - now deleted- and being linked to white supremacists groups, allegedly.).
I want Raonic to win anyway. Can't stand Isner, the hth favours John but I haven't checked if they've met on grass ( where Milos has a more varied game than just relying on the serve, which Isner will.).

Maybe having kids has improved Andy's speaking voice- you can end up sounding like a Cbeebies presenter (a bit more animated than your normal)in the early days, when they don't answer back. Mind you, I still talk to the dog like that.
GrinBlush

Raahh · 11/07/2018 06:07

(I'm not suggesting the American players are neo Nazis by the way, but some hold odd views, to say the least).

Raahh · 11/07/2018 06:09

private I promise if you were to get arrested for chucking eggs at Trump, I would out myself and visit you in the Tower.

we could arrange an Mn meet up.

kazzaD66 · 11/07/2018 07:34

I'd love to have seen Andy Murray commentating and being a pundit, he's got a dry sense of humour, but flew off on hols yesterday, so missing it.

Have a fab day on Friday parkin - are you on Centre?

JaneJeffer · 11/07/2018 08:28

Thanks for all the well wishes everyone. I'm feeling a lot better this morning.

Gone right off those American players but this made me laugh

www.newsweek.com/sport-donald-trump-john-mcenroe-627142

No one noticed the missing tomatoes. I think they were just delighted it wasn't fish fingers!

PrivateParkin · 11/07/2018 09:38

Glad you're feeling better Jane and good work with the lasagne!!

That's one good thing about McEnroe anyway - I suppose. Yes I'd heard that Isner, Sock etc were fans of MAGA - doesn't exactly endear them I me I have to say.

Kazza yes we're on Centre. I'm pretty much beside myself with excitement already Grin

PrivateParkin · 11/07/2018 09:39

Raahh thanks for your offer of support should I end up in the clink for causing affray Grin

PrivateParkin · 11/07/2018 09:40

kazza have a great holiday - hope you can catch some tennis.

Sorry for the many posts - I keep remembering things I meant to say!

Raahh · 11/07/2018 09:52

Private yay! Centre! That's good. Wink

I think the Rafa match could go either way- depending on how hard Delpo is prepared to fight, and how vulnerable Rafa's serve is. (He will nedd to be quick off the block- will probably go to tie breaks). But, Delpo didn't look entirely confident the other day, even though he won. Rafa is looking very fit though.

The Raonic match will most definitely go to tie breaks if they are both serving well- but I'm hoping Milos pulls through.

whatnextfred · 11/07/2018 10:14

Really jealous Private!

ferrier · 11/07/2018 10:26

I am devastated. I had tickets for court 1 today which I had to turn down 😭

PrivateParkin · 11/07/2018 10:28

Thanks all. I love Delpo more than life itself Grin but would absolutely love to see Rafa as well. Tbh I don't mind who it is, just really looking forward to it (understatement)
Yes I think the Raonic match is the most unpredictable because the big serving is a bit of a lottery... tie-breaks, as you said Raahh. But hoping for Milos, definitely.
