ferrier I know! It's gone completely under the radar. And obviously now he'll never play on Court 1 because after today all men's singles will be on Centre.

I actually think it's putting Delpo at a massive disadvantage for today. He hasn't played on Centre this year, Rafa has been on there every match (right?), plus Delpo not having a day off yesterday. It's so annoying how the schedule works out sometimes, someone always seems to be on the back foot.

I was also thinking though: Centre and Ct 1 don't seem that different any more. Well obviously I've never actually played on either but I was just thinking of the atmosphere/setting etc of the old No 1 court, where they had that really steep stand on one side, the crowd were fairly close to the players, and there was a standing area! Which got pretty raucous (for Wimbledon anyway). So I guess that's why players didn't like being out there as much. Whereas now both courts seem more similar to me.

At least they got rid of that bumpy, wind tunnel old Court 2 - "the graveyard of the seeds"!!

I reckon Kerber is playing really well. That SF v Ostapenko should be a cracker.

Dh is working from home, and the meeting we were due to have with school has been cancelled o he has asked if I want to go out for lunch (since we've had such a crap week).

Now that's lovely, but I need to be back to see if Kei can beat Novak .

I hope it's a quick match though, whoever wins- can't have any 4 hour epics- so there isn't too much of a clash with the football when Rafa plays. Hopefully no clash at all. (I have been airing DD1's room, in case I have to watch in there ).

There probably isn't much difference, I imagine they are meticulous in making sure the quality of the grass is the same on the show courts.

Will be keeping an eye on the djok/Kei match to see when I need to bag my seat for Rafa. I’m also hoping for no clash with the footy - don’t think I’d be popular if I asked them to keep the tennis on
