As the other thread is almost full!

OP posts:
LadyRochfordsHoickedGusset · 28/06/2018 06:01

I don't want to sound like a bitch but I don't think the new girls are much threat to the current ones...

TheNavigator · 28/06/2018 06:18

I am still irritated that Alex got to stay, despite the fact no woman in the villa wanting to ever get romantic with him. I loved little Eyal and his deep, bunny hugger ways. Glad to see Zara go though & the whole episode was ace. I bet Wes is a bit worried know he knows he was popular with Laura...

MadameFoner · 28/06/2018 06:24

Just catching up as I'm abroad and 5 hours behind......OMG! What a dramatic episode!
Best line of the series so far....
"You can go now" 😂😂😂
Really dislike Megan the man's friend, looking at her before pics and now she's modelled herself on a blow up doll.
So glad Zaras gone, another "mans friend", she didn't seem to bother with the girls much.
And Adam telling Ellie he can't see himself meeting anyone else and her saying "go then" 😂 yeah right, as if!

Cobblersandhogwash · 28/06/2018 06:36

Only just started watching. Big catch up.

Have the girls all had surgery then? Megan and Laura have had breast augmentation?

And their teeth! Wow. What kind of dentistry? Bleaching or all caps? They look like OAPs teeth - all perfect and white.

There's something weird about Megan. She's been particularly nasty to Laura but the way she smirked when Laura binned Wes and flounced off and after she apologised to Laura is so creepy. She looks gormless much of the time too.

I love Jack. Or is he a toad too? Have I missed something?

Six new men and women! Blimey. I hope Laura ends up with one of them. And Megan. And Wes is left out in the cold and that he grovels to reunite with Laura and she agrees and then changes her mind 24 hours later.

Picklesandpies · 28/06/2018 06:49

@MiddleClassProblem yes - I noticed that too - not a good look for Megan!

PippaPepperpot · 28/06/2018 06:54

Yes, the teeth MadameFoner! Obviously there's jack with massively white teeth, but I think every single person in there has either had them whitened or veneered. Teeth just aren't that white! I don't know if it's just what young people do now, or if they all had it done because they were going on TV. I miss seeing natural people on telly. It's hard to relate to the 'Instagram Generation'.

I'm also surprised that LI have got away with being so 'cis-normative' and 'hetero-normative' for all these seasons. I wonder if there have been any complaints. I'm pleased though because I love watching the dynamics of between young women and men (aka boys and girls!).

Picklesandpies · 28/06/2018 06:55

Thought Samira was so two faced last night. Encouraging, or at least not discouraging Megan to go for it with Wes and then commiserating with Laura up on the roof terrace. And the way she uses the word 'Cutesy'. Utter cringe. She's not 16.

lilypotter88 · 28/06/2018 07:05

The dumping was a bit disappointing, not sure them two leaving will have a big impact

jay55 · 28/06/2018 07:09

Zara’s hissy fit at leaving was the most she’s said since she arrived.
I’m disappointed she’s gone before Adam could do a Kendal/Rosie on her given how smug she was.

Oysterbabe · 28/06/2018 07:31

Really pleased to see the back of Eyal. There was just something off about him, totally fake.

Thirtyrock39 · 28/06/2018 07:34

Wish they'd voted out a couple as I'm sure Adam and Zara would have gone. Think we've seen all Adam has got to offer now he's very predictable and other than his advice to Alex not really very entertaining . Zara was pointless.
Last years casa more or whatever it's called brought in Montana's Alex and the professor green Bloke who liked camilla... the rest were a bit forgettable but it was a good twist especially as they had to decide whether to return to the villa as a new couple with a newbie or remain loyal to their old couple

Picklesandpies · 28/06/2018 07:40

@Oysterbabe totally agree re Eyal. Total faux hippy. I think he thought that he could make anything sound deep if he waved his hands around enough. And all the irritating mouth movements (sometimes with the water bottle as a prop) when talking to girls - Adam guilty of this too.

Picklesandpies · 28/06/2018 07:41

I was laughing at Zara saying she'd found love 😂 Adam was probably already dry humping something anything with a pulse by that point.

Frillyfarmer · 28/06/2018 07:52

I wish Alex had gone, Eyal has far more potential!

Samira is starting to grate now, and the public are out for wegan blood so it’s going to be a great week.

I want Charlie back, he was the only one who kind of benchmarked close to Alex Bowen.

Moonkissedlegs · 28/06/2018 07:59

I'm also surprised that LI have got away with being so 'cis-normative' and 'hetero-normative' for all these seasons.

Yes, I thought that too, but then the logistics would become difficult. If they put people who were gay or bi in, they would have to put several in so that there was a potential recoupling for each. They would obviously also have to change the rules so that boys could couple up with boys etc but it could skew the numbers and people would end up not being coupled simply because there was no one of the same sexuality as them left iyswim?

As for putting transgender people in, I think it would only end badly, and it's probably just something the producers don't want yo touch. If they put a transwoman in and didn't tell the boys they were trans, well it would end in disaster (remember that Miriam show?) and if they put one in who everyone knew was trans I don't think the men would go there and it would just open too much of a can of worms.

BlancheM · 28/06/2018 08:07

Sophie Gradon was bi and recoupled with a girl.

Adam can find comfort in one of the cushions on the sofas (until a new girl turns his head), similar personality to Zara.

None of the new guys look like Alex Bowen material....sigh! The look of some of them make me feel a bit gippy. Barrel scrapings of the insta ken doll kind.

Shambu · 28/06/2018 08:09

Interesting how many people think Alex should have gone.

He may be mates with the boys but this isn't friend island, and he just cannot pull. Nothing wrong with his appearance - his personality and behaviour are putting women off.

I don't think he's ever going to pull in there.

BlancheM · 28/06/2018 08:15

I thought casa amor was a bit of a damp squib last year. Putting in 12 newbies has game changing potential- unleash them all in the normal villa!

Novia · 28/06/2018 08:18

The absolute best bit is that Megan is going to get rather a comeuppance with the villa split.

She will be stuck in a house with a furious Laura who obviously hates her guts, most of the other girls also now think she's a bitch and will be frosty, no Wes to spoon/gossip with and she's also lost her main (only?) female ally in Zara. Karma's a bitch.

That said - I'm sure she will hypnotise one of the new guys into being her white knight and protect her!

RoseWhiteTips · 28/06/2018 08:20

Watching Zara burst into hysterical tears was very gratifying. She was poisonous and thoroughly deserved to be dispatched. We were never shown her interacting with the others at all. My abiding memory of her is is her sitting beside Smegan with a grin of sheer pleasure in her face at the sight of Laura’s distress.

RoseWhiteTips · 28/06/2018 08:21

*on her face

RoseWhiteTips · 28/06/2018 08:25

Laura is really showing what she’s made of - in a good way. She handled the Smegan situation admirably yesterday.
Agree it will be entertaining to watch Smegan flailing around in the villa with no men to play with and Weasel gone for a bit.

Bluntness100 · 28/06/2018 08:30

I'd agree Zara came across as rather odd. I don't know if it was in the editing, but she seemed to struggle to make conversation. Then the whole crying, I've found love thing was just over the top. It did seem like she'd not formed any relationships and simply stuck close to Adam.

You'd think she'd be able to think it through logically, if Adam really thought she was the one for him, he'd have left with her, as what would be the point of staying. You only are in there to couple up.

I think if she was in there he'd probably have stuck with her, purely because of the bad reputation he was getting, but now she's gone, all bets are off, and she must know it.

Fintress · 28/06/2018 08:40

Anyone else laughing at the though of Zara being a 'government adviser' at the ripe old age of 21. Of course 20 year old Wes is apparently a nuclear engineer.

RideSallyRide76 · 28/06/2018 08:44

@RoseWhiteTips
Don't the girls get a set of "new" boys in their villa though?
