Finally! Season 2 starts on July 4th on More4.

Been waiting for this, we haven't been able to find a download of it anywhere.

OP posts:
Graphista · 03/10/2018 23:22

My tablet froze! What happened with boy and social worker? I'm gonna have to rewatch aren't I?

Janus · 03/10/2018 23:23

He wasn’t a figment of our imagination! He’s going to Beth and Randall on super bowl
Day I’m thinking

Janus · 03/10/2018 23:24

No, the social worker just said they thought they’d found aomeone and it went to adverts

Graphista · 03/10/2018 23:28

Right ok I didn't miss key dialogue then?

Janus · 03/10/2018 23:30

No that was literally it

Janus · 03/10/2018 23:40

Nope, can’t watch this all in one go, it’s too much! Off to bed!

Graphista · 03/10/2018 23:41

Omg no wonder she doesn't believe it st first. And he was what? 36/37?

Graphista · 04/10/2018 00:11

No they were like 20's when they had the kids? So he'd have been early 40's when he died?

flourella · 04/10/2018 01:33

Graphista, if I remember the first episode correctly, it followed four people on their 36th birthday: Randall, Kate, Kevin, and Jack. Obviously we didn't realise the connection between them till the end (well, I didn't guess), but the twins were born on Jack's birthday. Rebecca was a few years younger (29-30, I think). So, he was 53.

It's always annoyed me that the hair and makeup team have made no effort to age Jack and Rebecca for the different stages of the children growing up!

Graphista · 04/10/2018 01:40

He certainly hasn't been made to look 53!

flourella · 04/10/2018 01:54

I know, it's daft!

I haven't watched this week's yet; I'm just on here to try and get a sense of whether or not I'm going to cry over it. I don't think I'm overly invested in this programme, but it is good and I did cry after William died and Kevin was talking to his nieces about the painting Blush

LutherRalph1 · 04/10/2018 10:19

I cried @flourella and I never used to cry at tv. Not sure if it's the programme or my new maternal emotions

Huntlybyelection · 04/10/2018 10:51

IT WAS A FLASH FORWARD! Ah, I apologise for doubting Grin

Just cried a bit.

legolimb · 04/10/2018 15:09

I'm just watching episode 14 now.

Welling up already and it's only just started.

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/10/2018 15:25

Back from holiday and catching up

Seen 13 and how the fire started :(

Why didn’t they replace the batteries on smoke alarms

Know they said they ran out of batteries .....

Seen half of 14 and they escape the house so not sure how jack died

Maybe smoke inhalation?

Forgot they were born on jacks birthdsy

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/10/2018 15:29

Oh. liTERally next scene he’s dead 😢😢😢😢

I was right

Nose is tingling

legolimb · 04/10/2018 15:41

Oh boy. I'm glad I'm home alone. Sad

A well played scene I thought.

Justtheoneplease · 04/10/2018 15:43

Damn can't watch this yet as promised my daughter we would watch together

Janus · 04/10/2018 17:33

I’ve snuck in the lounge to watch the second half. I did cry but not too much as they didn’t wallow in it. I thought Kate telling Toby he would have loved him made me so upset as it’s all things he’s missed out on (and he would love Toby!).
Whoever guessed that that was Tess was very clever!!!
Does that mean we won’t have any more of Jack though?? I can’t bear not having him in it, I shall miss him.

Destinysdaughter · 04/10/2018 19:07

I've just watched the last 2 episodes and I'm in floods of tears! So so sad. And actually explains a lot about why the 3 adult children are the way they are. ☹️💜

Whisky2014 · 04/10/2018 20:11

I cried and my fiance cried! But i thought it was really well done. Love this show but i think ive cried at every single episode so far. Its very thereapeutic!

LightastheBreeze · 04/10/2018 20:11

I’m on holiday and managed to stream it last night on the hotel Wi-fi, DH wondered why it was so important I saw it. I couldn’t wait til next week in case the catch up didn’t work properly outside of the uk.

I was really surprised when Jack didn’t die in the fire but because of the smoke, very sad. I also thought it was a older Tess in the fostering scene as the actress looked similar and I was looking for Flash Forwards in it.

MawkishTwaddle · 04/10/2018 21:26

Well that episode just ruined me. I cried for 45 minutes.

BrieAndChilli · 04/10/2018 23:45

I think maybe they don’t age Jack is because he is dead and so eternally young in everyone’s minds.

I don’t I’ve ever watched an episode with out at crying a little bit! Proper sobs in this episode though Sad

Unihorn · 05/10/2018 08:09

To be fair to Milo Ventimiglia, he's 41 now but has looked pretty much the same for the past 20 years anyway!
