Joe definitely follows his dick too much but I agree he does try to be good.

The scene with Lolly screaming at Healy for help is really sad. I’d like her back. I presume Healy would be in the psychiatric hospital longer than a week but it would be good if he was in series 6, even just to wrap up his story.

Yes, definitely. She never should have been in prison, the disregard for her mental health at every stage made me so angry 😠 And she was so frightened when she was left there, just awful 😢
I was amazed by the actress who played her younger self, Lori Petty is a fantastic actress herself, but I was so amazed that the younger actress managed to get all of Lolly's mannerisms and tones of voice right to match Lori Perry's too... I was properly blown away 😅

I think that Linda saw the error of her ways when dealing with the inmates' budget and now understands, I do hope she gets out!

I don’t understand how Piper is still in there. It seems like her sentence would’ve finished by now?

It's less than a year so far, Piper went in in early autumn and it is mid-late summer now because they started the pretend education/building programme in the summer and the riot was very shortly after that so still summer. She has 12-15 months to serve, so still within her sentence.

Although apparently they're moving on in time to the modern era as five seasons have gone by and they're still a few years behind iyswim so they're bringing it to 2017/2018 to deal with the current issues.

It was 15 months but it says online it's unclear f it's extended due to her lying at Kubra's trial.

Maybe a year then, if Piper went in in very late summer? I'm sure she had been there 3-4 months at the end of the first season and that was Christmas. The end of season 2 was Rosa driving the van into Vee, they're all wearing thick coats, so late winter, early spring? End of season 3 was when they all escape and go to the beach, so late spring, early summer, or maybe even further into the summer. A couple of episodes before the end of season 4 is where they're all working in the intense heat on the building project and Poussey's death (waaahhh ) was very soon after that. Leading onto the riot in season 4 which was very soon after Poussey and only lasted 4 (?) days.
Can't figure out Daya though She gave birth at nearly the end of season 3, so early summer... I guess if she got pregnant in the autumn and the baby was a little early... 🤷‍♀️

It winds me up when tv shows and films aren't true to timelines/seasons or to the characters (DS and I are currently shouting at the tv because we're watching the original Charlie and the chocolate factory film and the bit where Charlie and grandpa Joe drink the floating drink is just so untrue to the characters!! Glad to see I am passing on the overanalysis trait to the next generation ).

We were, although I have to confess that I prefer the newer version as most of it is truer to the original story (if you ignore all that crap about WW's dentist dad), and the special effects are better... Also Gene Wilder freaks me out a bit...
We had to watch the first version due to DC appearing in a dance show with songs from the first version though...
Anyway, totally off topic, back to oitnb
