utterly brilliant, thought i may actually die from laughing, am sooo impressed the serious historians etc kept the straight face!
If you missed it please watch via catch up or whatever - i think its the funniest thing i've seen since Motherland (probably no coincidence that its the same main actor)

A friend of mine raves about it but from the trailers I didn't think it would appeal to me, maybe I need to give it a better shot.

Interesting that someone above says the experts know it's a spoof as someone involved in the programme (can't remember who) said that they are not told in advance in a radio programme last week. I think he said that Robert Preston twigged but played along.

DH knows the historian who looked so startled by 'King Arthur came a lot, didn't he?' And apparently she had no idea she was in a mockumentary. Think she found it funny though, when she was told.

Lots of this was fun to watch with DS (13) - he loved it - but some of it was a bit too basic to be funny.

I’m lot convinced the experts are aware! Her interviews with them are definitely spliced in, so presumably it’s someone else doing the questioning when they’re actually filming the experts.

I watched it for the first time last night - my verdict was not flawless, but definitely some killer one-liners. It sort of made me want to go and watch This Country though, which is much funnier.
