With a cameo from Toffs jungle camp mate Stanley! I know I shouldn’t watch this, I’m well aware I’m not the target audience, but I find it strangely compelling.....
Found tonight’s episode as infuriating as always - why on earth has little fat Fonz decided he needs to be in London to paint, and when did Tiny Tears get her lips done?

Also TT did this by making her bro do the parental thing which freaked Habbs out

sheldonesque · 12/12/2018 12:07

Grin Grin at 'Winter!' theme carol

Straight outa Jackie...

Aye. She used to be able to have a laugh. When her face was able to move...

sheldonesque · 12/12/2018 12:29

There is a tweet saying 'age really is just a number'

Which goes some way to explain why Sameh acts like a 13 year old when he's 26...

And there is the posing in his sister's skiddies and bra again.

Questionable.

That social circle is looking more and more inviting Hmm

jay55 · 12/12/2018 12:44

Surely Sammah and Habbs were a showmance and he hadn't been told the story was going in a new direction.

That's why TT was so annoyed with Jamie, he'd left her out the loop.

PsychedelicSheep · 12/12/2018 23:53

That new girl Eliza has a massive five-head.

Habbs' mum was really young! And not particularly posh sounding. Maybe they're nouveau riche 😱

PsychedelicSheep · 12/12/2018 23:59

Noooo Liv don't do it! He'll be a 100% more controlling and even more sanctimonious with it

jay55 · 18/12/2018 11:22

Digby turning Liv down just so she will keep on begging is sickening. When all her friends looked shifty, when she asked if they thought it a bad idea, was so telling.

Scoose · 18/12/2018 22:25

They need to bore off he's a drip and i used to like liv but tbh she's getting on my nerves this series. I've just started watching from the beginning on hayu and it's funny seeing how sanctimonious tt is now considering she came into the show as spennys fwb then cheated on every boyfriend she had Hmm

sheldonesque · 18/12/2018 22:38

Have her beg. I care not. As bored as I am of Ligby, I can't think of anything nicer for that poor excuse of a human being. She is indeed the spirit of Cuntmas.

Shame someone couldn't let her just be around somewhere like Siberia and have her run wild. Not ever a joking matter you horrid bastard. Angry

Bit off the mark with the five-head sheep Grin She's a solid eight.

Not sure why the jeune coq his little chums are chasing her with such enthusiasm.

If it is the same enthusiasm that may well have appeared on a Canadian cuff I get it. No chance of a something about Mary hair sculpture. The expanse means that enthusiasm will forever be a long way away from the hair.

Intrigued why everyone has to be sensitive and mindful to Sameh's pain. They don't seem to be quite so sensitive to the ladies when they are hooking up with more things than a big hooky thing.

As for the 12 days of J-mas for sadfacesameh? Not worth the effort. Unless it is 11 crabs a-leaping. Or jumping if it is a J-mas.

And they sure know how to JJJJJJump the shark. They haven't just done it the once.

Only decent thing was Bluebell the Owl.

TechnicalSergeantGarp · 18/12/2018 22:50

Liv wants Digby until he wants her back then she'll dump him. Again. She'll get with someone else then disappear off to her parent's country pad until the heat dies down.

TT is a nasty just. If Sam wasn't on the show she'd have been binned ages ago. She's only in now to watch her fuck up by getting pissed and "getting with" a random. Or Miles.

Sam was trying to move a million miles and hour so he was in the same place as TT. No wonder Habbs ran off screaming.

madeyemoodysmum · 18/12/2018 22:58

Whoever watching the new spenny spinoff ?

sheldonesque · 18/12/2018 23:14

Do you know when it is on madeye ?

I'll probably be watching. I won't be watching if Mills and Hugs are on it. I can get a vapid and vain fix from MIC.

madeyemoodysmum · 19/12/2018 07:08

Think next week on channel four something or other. I’m streaming it through now tv.

CatkinToadflax · 19/12/2018 19:07

Whichever PP upthread referred to TT resembling Dolores Umbridge was spot on! She's turned into such a bitch whilst wearing her sugar-pink twinsets and Alice bands - does she think her ludicrously demure clothing somehow stamps out how nasty she's being? Hmm

mizu · 19/12/2018 22:11

Dolores Umbridge GrinBlush brilliant

PsychedelicSheep · 21/12/2018 12:59

That was me! Grin

I can't bear how she dresses! She's such a pretty girl but she looks like someone's maiden aunt.

And yeah, I think she's aware that her power is waning and that Habbs is younger and her position within the group is on the rise, especially with her being tight with Jamie now which TT can't stand. It's not about Sam, it's about the pretentious new upstart challenging the current Alpha females position.

Sedgewick · 27/12/2018 18:38

I was a bit perturbed by the social climbing jibe Louise dished out to Habbs. Should us commoners not associate with the wealthy?
Does Habbs not know her place?

Completely get that she might just feel that Sam was being used - no one wants that for their brother - but she was so precious about the fact that Habbs was invited to Jamie's party. As if it were some big prize!

DOES anyone feel that Sam has been wronged? On the one side, he cheated on Habbs early on. On the other hand, he did seem to fall for her, was loyal from that point onwards.

And don't forget Habbs was caught telling her ex that she didn't like kissing Sam. That suddenly becomes significant given she has now dumped him.

Was it real? Or was she playing him. If she WAS playing him, did he deserve it?

In short, by the time of the season finale - read the review here: anidolmind.com/the-one-where-jamie-is-a-best-bud-and-sams-love-life-is-a-dud/ - are you more on Habb's side or Sam's?

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/12/2018 14:48

Puparents🙀🙀🙄🙄

And what is that dead rat under Ryan’s nose 😂😂😂

Sedgewick · 30/12/2018 20:09

I literally didn't understand why looking at The Ryman's face was making me feel so disconcerted when I was watching the last episode. Then I saw it...

Bristly and slightly orange, and under his nose.

It's his face, he can do what he wants with it, but it is certainly a distraction!

Sedgewick · 30/12/2018 20:21

Just found a behind-the-scenes interview with Spencer Matthews about how they make Made in Chelsea. It's not exactly a positive account of his experience, quite revealing:

He literally treated it like a job!

Sedgewick · 05/01/2019 12:53

A year ago, psychotherapist Lee Valls conducted an experiment where he asked Spencer Matthews and Jamie Laing a series of questions to establish where on the spectrum they are in terms of empathy, trust, anxiety, etc.

Turns out they are complete opposites:

However, what was interesting was that Spencer's first reaction to being asked to answer the questions, was to assume that he'd be found to be a psychopath.

Fast forward to 2019, and he is openly admitting that the thinks he might well be a psychopath or sociopath, on Laing's podcast. Sure enough when Jamie asks him about the key qualities sociopaths have, Spencer ticks most boxes...

Being Spencer, he says that having no remorse is a GOOD quality...and he wouldn't want to be any other way:

PsychedelicSheep · 05/01/2019 22:30

Spencer reminds me so much of my ex husband, in looks and personality.

He isn't a psychopath, he's just not very tolerant of 'weakness' in others and can be a bit of a pompous arse sometimes. He was sent to boarding school age 6 and I think this attachment rupture and 'sink or swim' environment can often create this type of personality.

Spencer does present as cold and detached emotionally but I don't think he's a psychopath.

Sedgewick · 05/01/2019 23:04

Vogue was saying recently on a show that Spencer had no empathy or sympathy. I don't like drips myself but where empathy is deserved it seems odd not to have it.

Did your ex-husband ever want/expect sympathy and was he ever vulnerable? I am just wondering if it's because they never want or need empathy themselves, because then I can kind of understand it.

I think the word psychopath is very loaded. It is associated with murderers, etc, whereas most psychopaths are not killers. Often they are high performing and do well in their careers as they have no anxiety or fellow feeling to hold them back from advancement.

You already know that as you married one but I'd like to know what you think separates Spencer from being a psychopath - what's the thing that makes you think - no, he isn't one?

One of the ways the test was skewed is that Jamie is, by admission, a people pleaser. This means he would have said what he thought people wanted to hear. Having said that I think he's fantastic so he's clearly doing a good job at this people pleasing malarkey...

PsychedelicSheep · 06/01/2019 00:24

Well I obviously don't know spencer or anything much about his background that would allow me to make a judgement, for example did he display the McDonald triad as a child? (I'd be very surprised if he did). What was his early life/family like etc?

I'm aware that not all psychopaths are violent (i work in the mental health field as a psychotherapist) and about 'corporate psychopaths'. I think true psychopaths are much rarer than pop culture would have us believe though, although many of us have 'traits'.

I just don't think spencer is one, I think he's probably a bit of a misogynist and I think he doesn't have a lot of patience and likes to get his own way, but he's a bit of a panto villain about it all and I think he plays up to this image slightly.

My ex doesn't really seek sympathy from others no, he would probably say he doesn't need it and wouldn't allow himself to. He is emotionally intelligent though, is very caring and protective to those he loves (especially our kids) and he does a lot to help others out. Spencer seems similar to me in those ways.

Sedgewick · 10/01/2019 00:21

Since you are a psychotherapist, you are definitely better qualified than me to make a judgement on whether Spencer is a psychopath or not.

I just remember being flabbergasted by how he treated Louise. He kept denying cheating and then admitted it and blamed her for "allowing" it. It was a mindf*ck. He was a brilliant character on the show though. Which I guess is the way to think about it.

Although having watched Spencer, Vogue and Baby, Spencer seems to have changed a lot since his Made in Chelsea days. He is the devoted hubbie and dad.

Here's a review of the show which includes a link to the episode.
bit.ly/2CezMTu

I am in two minds about it. He is very funny but it's not my kind of show. It's certainly a lot better than Love Island Jack and Dani's new show (at the same time) if you or anyone watched that?!
