With a cameo from Toffs jungle camp mate Stanley! I know I shouldn’t watch this, I’m well aware I’m not the target audience, but I find it strangely compelling.....
Found tonight’s episode as infuriating as always - why on earth has little fat Fonz decided he needs to be in London to paint, and when did Tiny Tears get her lips done?

Sophie hermann is really growing on me this series I would like to see her on screen more I miss boulle

TheLastNigel · 13/11/2018 18:04

I can't agree about Liv being anything other than vile, entitled and a bit of an attention seeker.
She shagged Mytton once and was clearly devvy when he said the day after that it was a mistake. She doesn't own the things she has done, and she turns on the tears as soon as anyone tells her a home truth. Diggers is wet. But he doesn't deserve the game playing she has done with him.
I love Livs Mum And Dad...they seem ace. But her...ugh. And I loathed Lucy Watson. I had to turn off every time she was on-she was so incredibly up herself and had zero sense of humour.

TheLastNigel · 13/11/2018 18:05

Freddie and Sophie are my favourites...they both play it with a touch of irony. The others are all in danger of believing their own hype too much.

BlancheM · 13/11/2018 19:44

Jamie plays it all with a bit of a wink as well, don't forget most of it is acting, the whole storyline around Tristan dating Habbs and then being bezzies with Jamie to pee off Sam was only to introduce his new character to the show. That's why Jamie didn't seem too bothered about Sam's feelings- sometimes he forgets to play along!

Sedgewick · 13/11/2018 22:42

Another very insightful comment by Carol. I think you are very much a people observer. It makes sense that if Liv has never had to want for anything that she cannot conceive of her impact on others. To her, she is simply being frank - whereas to others she comes across like the "stone cold bitch" of Louise's description.

I agree that she seems very healthy - she doesn't get her self-esteem from being in a relationship. She doesn't waste time on lost causes. Not sure the same could be said of Digby who continued to pursue a relationship that made him very unhappy.

As you say, she may have never fallen in love (she may think that she has) and when she does properly fall she'll be able to see things from Digby's side.

I think she is confused and baffled by how broken he seems as this was never her intention.

Sedgewick · 13/11/2018 22:46

Jamie does EVERYTHING with a wink! That's why he's brilliant.

Yes, it's a "constructed reality" show, but more is real than you might imagine.

For example, my assumption was that Jamie asking that Diana character (who slept with Sam) to fly out to Croatia was clearly arranged by the producers. Not at all the case. All Jamie's idea!

So glad someone else likes Fred! He's so dry and amused and doesn't take it all so seriously. Also outrageously good looking. Never understood why he doesn't have a more central role.

sheldonesque · 13/11/2018 23:37

Constructed reality is fair enough. But why would you let them portray you as an arsehole. dippy bint, horror if you are not like that in real life?

If it is 'more real than you might imagine' then that means they really are arseholes, dippy bints and horrors. As suspected.

Sedgewick · 13/11/2018 23:55

Sheldon, you're not going to like everyone you watch on TV!

What can you do?! That's life!

If you want less arseholes then I highly recommend this year's Love Island. Jack and Dani are both lovely! So is Laura! Not to mention Josh and Kaz. And they've not confused lovely with being dull, as is sometimes the case on these progs.

If you haven't already watched it you're in for a treat. If you have - what did you think?

sheldonesque · 14/11/2018 00:20

What can I do?

Just call them for the arses they are I suppose. Grin You know, what with it being a thread where I can voice my opinion and all.

I've liked plenty of people on MIC - I've watched it for years. But I think this current lot are dreadful.

I'm beginning to wonder if your last name is Bentley or Thompson...Wink

jay55 · 14/11/2018 09:51

What was the shoving in the bar about? Wish they’d shove each other under a train.

I miss Lucy and Binky.

When the show decided to turn Sam into a love rat it lost its way. He’s supposed to be the guy who is hopeless with women, who can’t get a second date, who goes all out and gets turned down.
He is not the guy who has women as beautiful as Habbs taking him back after cheating. That is the role of the Mytton and Spence’s of the world.

Sedgewick · 14/11/2018 10:07

Yeah, I miss Lucy and Binky too.

I did think Binky's return was going to be more than a flying visit! And Lucy said recently that she'd love to do TV again so....who knows?

Sam seems to be one of those "come here, go away" guys - he's interested but then he changes his mind / is unsure. It's not invented. If you watched him on Celebrity Big Brother and Celebs Go Dating you'd see it's a consistent part of his character.

Even with Tiff he seemed unsure of what he wanted. Plus, he's famous and all these guys on TV get so many opportunities with women, that I imagine the temptation is tremendous.

He hasn't been that hopeless with women guy since he got muscles and a six pack - that seems to have changed things for him!

PsychedelicSheep · 14/11/2018 19:45

Agree with Sedgewick and CarolDanvers about Liv, she does get things wrong because she's young and still maturing but she's essentially very likeable.

Also really like Ollie Locke these days, he's a sweetheart.

PsychedelicSheep · 14/11/2018 20:21

And I like that she does her photography, even if it is a glorified hobby at least she does something which is more than the rest seem to Hmm

PsychedelicSheep · 14/11/2018 20:32

I bet that's the worst bit of argy embargo republica has ever seen.

jalopy · 15/11/2018 17:08

Why cant I see the latest episode? Anyone else having problems with 4od?

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/11/2018 19:25

IVE said before JAMIE is a shit stirrer

MarshaBradyo · 15/11/2018 21:31

Jalopy me too. Annoying

MarshaBradyo · 16/11/2018 21:36

Habbs and Melissa are looking pretty

Sameh will always irritate me

That aggression in the bar looked pretty real

I like Sophie and Jamie was ok this time, he seems to be getting better as he gets more hair

MF still is brilliant (saw him the other day much to my delight, tried not to look)

Sedgewick · 16/11/2018 21:41

Marsha and Jalopy - no one could view the latest episode of Made in Chelsea, unless you were lucky enough to watch it live!

It's taken a LONG time but the latest episode is FINALLY UP! Enjoy!

www.channel4.com/programmes/made-in-chelsea/on-demand/65685-006

No idea why there was such a delay!

MarshaBradyo · 16/11/2018 21:42

Finally just watched it! Phew ;

TechnicalSergeantGarp · 16/11/2018 22:19

Liv is the least likeable character to ever be on MiC, and Vicky is on there.

Sedgewick · 17/11/2018 07:14

Who is Vicky? You mean Mark-Francis's crony, Victoria?

CarolDanvers · 17/11/2018 08:01

I remember Victoria screaming the most vicious, humiliating abuse at Cheska at a dinner party one time - Cheska left after that season I believe. I also remember Spencer and Mytton having “orgies” - Mytton being in a relationship with Binky at the time. I remember Ryan attacking ; “big angry bear” anyone? Grin. I do struggle with the idea that Liv is the worst person ever been on MIC compared with the above behaviour.

Sedgewick · 17/11/2018 08:23

I struggle with that idea too, Carol! Liv is very confident and she knows her own mind which may make her appear entitled. But other than to sleep with an ex, she's not done anything much wrong!

I remember all those things you mention, but also Spencer cheating on Louise, and then lying about it, and then BLAMING HER for it! I also remember Louise allegedly cheating on Andy with a pop star... To be fair to her, her head was probably very messed up after Spencer and she possibly thought "two can play at that game."

But I do think the women are judged more harshly than the men. I'm glad Liv is a bit different to the other girls / is one of the boys - it would be boring if they were all the same.

jalopy · 17/11/2018 09:03

Thanks so much, Sedgewick. My life is complete.
