With a cameo from Toffs jungle camp mate Stanley! I know I shouldn’t watch this, I’m well aware I’m not the target audience, but I find it strangely compelling.....
Found tonight’s episode as infuriating as always - why on earth has little fat Fonz decided he needs to be in London to paint, and when did Tiny Tears get her lips done?

I think if someone good looking and charming swooped in, Louise would be off. She needs a Mr Big not a Mr Big Muscles.

JanetLovesJason · 06/11/2018 06:43

Really?

I think Louise’s “dislike” for people since Spencer has been the guard just never quite going down, having been badly burned.

Guard is finally going down with Ryan, precisely because he does have some standards, and does stick to them.

CarolDanvers · 06/11/2018 07:06

Nailed it Sedgwick and mykingdomforbrie.

CarolDanvers · 06/11/2018 07:07

I don’t think her guard is down with Ryan at ALL. I think she looks really stressed and shut down by him quite a lot of the time.

CarolDanvers · 06/11/2018 07:09

Missed your post Edina, yes!

sheldonesque · 06/11/2018 11:06

I'm with you Janet

I think TT's ishoos are bugger all to do with Thruppeny.

I would personally prefer someone who championed fidelity and had strong values than someone who thought it fine to hook up with all and sundry when in a relationship.

As seems to be the wont of nearly every other male in the vicinity.

If it had been a bloke acting like Liv and a female cast member had had a pop, I doubt they would be called controlling.

I think he saw shit behaviour and called her on it. And I commend that. It is far better than the usual casual acceptance/pats on the back/smirking and gossipy chat about who did what to whom.

MarshaBradyo · 06/11/2018 11:12

Yep I agree too he’s not one for playing around like most of the others

I still think TT can make him heel pdq - she’d go wild if situation was reversed with that Liv scene

MarshaBradyo · 06/11/2018 11:36

And Liv can turn on a tear as well as TT
Glad he didn’t fall for that one - she was fine a second later

sheldonesque · 06/11/2018 12:04

Indeed marsha

I hate the turn on the tears tactic when things aren't going the way they want. The inner seethe and clipped tones shortly thereafter (when it hasn't worked) amuses me greatly.

And aye. I'm fairly sure that TT has possession of the relationship trousers most of the time. And a firm grip on the waistband for the remaining 20 minutes.

Downtrodden she is not.

Ethel80 · 06/11/2018 12:11

I really hate Ryan, he's so controlling and I agree with the poster that said Louise often looks awkward around him. I don't think they'll make it to the wedding if he keeps acting like that.

Whatever Liv has done, he had no right to talk to her like that and then have a go at Louise for not backing him up.

He makes me feel very uncomfortable.

sheldonesque · 06/11/2018 12:27

TT doesn't look anything.

If that girl can sport an expression after all that stuffing I will eat my weight in crisps. Though granted it would take some time. Grin

BlancheM · 06/11/2018 13:50

I commend anyone for telling it straight when it comes to Liv but he was like a dog with a bone when it's really not his business. He was visibly shaking and fee-ooming at the club when she was stood in front of him and then was telling her where to look/where not to look. I didn't like that one bit.

EdinaMonsoon · 06/11/2018 14:24

Agree with BlancheM there is a strong physical element to his anger which really concerns me. He looked like he was ready to hit someone. If my DH or sons spoke to a woman (or, in fact, anyone) in that manner about something that didn't directly affect them I would be horrified.

At the end of the day, Digby & Liv shagging is by mutual consent. It really is nobody's business except theirs. If Digby is so desperate to move on then he shouldn't be going back there but he did so it's rather pathetic to let Thrupenny rip Liv a new one over something that was actually none of his concern.

I think TT comes across as being desperate not to rock the boat with Thrupenny & keep him on side. From the very early days of the relationship he was telling her off for going out & partying (ditto Digby with Liv). Granted, she has a rep but then why date her if you don't trust her? I've no doubt that TT can wear the trousers, so to speak, but she has also appeared extremely desperate for marriage & commitment for a while. Spenny was the big one for her and it must hurt to see him settled and so happy. The original cast all seem to have become grown ups and she is still in this "reality" show seemingly waiting for life to happen. Same with Jamie.

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 06/11/2018 14:37

From the very early days of the relationship he was telling her off for going out & partying

Ditto JP sand Binky @edinamonsoon and that’s bitten the dust Sad

CarolDanvers · 06/11/2018 14:54

Yes. I remember that. I also remember her trying to talk to him about an issue in their relationship and he just kept shutting her down and talking over her. He just didn’t want to hear anything remotely negative and wouldn’t let her communicate, she was actually crying with frustration. He’s sunken costs for her. He’s all in with her family, who seem to think he’s perfect and if she leaves him now where is she? Single, while Spenny is married and thoroughly moved on plus a lot of her work is tied to the fitness and body image angle that he gives her. She hasn’t and never did have a career as such.

I agree that he’s terrified she’s going to cheat on him or leave him and that’s why he’s trying to shame Liv like he is. That’s a message for TT really, not Liv “this is how disgusting this behaviour is, look how hard I come down on it so don’t you dare do it”. He’s desperate.

I’d find Ryan and give him an earful if he dared speak to my daughter like that.

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 06/11/2018 15:00

I completely believe Ryan is “practising” on Liv should TT ever step out of line.

TechnicalSergeantGarp · 06/11/2018 19:30

I agreed with Ryan, I think she has been toxic and manipulative and she would speak to another person exactly like that. Liv forced tears out and was back to snarky, clipped tones when they didn't work. Liv does think people won't confront her and Digby should fight his own battles.

TT will go off her health kick, get pissed etc and then forget she's shagged someone. Standard.

sheldonesque · 06/11/2018 19:35

Ach it is all a pantomime.

If I were that downtrodden and I knew my boyfriend didn't like someone (I didn't see the foaming at the mouth bits others see - although there was nothing wrong with what he said he should have just delivered it in a monotone while Liv was shrieking back) I sure as shit wouldn't hire the unliked person to take loved up engagement pictures. Who does that in real life?

Only one person fuelling fires here people. And it is the trouser wearer. Grin

I do agree with you Edina in that she seems lost. As said before, the ishoos have been there far before Thruppeny and perhaps she would do well to come out of the circus. I think it is a poisoned chalice for her.

Thrupps isn't for her. But he didn't break her. Spenny's mindfuckery mastery did that I think.

KateGrey · 06/11/2018 19:47

See I quite like Ryan and Diggers. They strike me as decent and more moral but I do think Ryan is concerned she’ll cheat and is trying to keep her in line. He didn’t come across well when having a pop at Liv but she’s has behaved really badly. Yes Digby and her are concenting adults but she has led him on but it’s not Ryan’s place to go in on her so hard.

CarolDanvers · 06/11/2018 20:17

Just watching, Harry is back in my good books. Ryan was getting quite irate but Harry wouldn't back down. Good on him.

CarolDanvers · 06/11/2018 20:28

I honestly don't understand how anyone can watch Ryan ordering Liv to look at him and shaking with rage in that nightclub and think he is a decent, straight up, well adjusted person.

KateGrey · 06/11/2018 20:36

I think he’s been badly burnt. Not excusing his obvious anger issues relating to this but I think this is where it comes from. I think he has decent values but is controlling as he doesn’t trust the woman he’s with. Massively contradicting myself.

Bodear · 06/11/2018 21:06

Why is Ryan called Thruppeny? Agree that he’s a controlling horror though.

CarolDanvers · 06/11/2018 21:26

Because he has a face shaped like a "thrupenny" see photo.

Myself, i think he looks like Someone made him in Minecraft...
