Guess it’s different when watching someone you care about than a total stranger?

I actually think they would be more likely to, especially if they've done things the usual way and got divorced or they're widowed. Throw caution to the wind and all that! First Dates features older couples and I still watch.Plus Kylie is about to be 50 and she, I reckon, is still sexy.

Ch4 also produce First Dates. I think there might be more success actually, with older, more realistic candidates that have seen a bit of life and no that nobody is perfect.

I'm watching series 3 of the American one and the dramatic editing is driving me mad!

I feel sorry for Dick, he seems oblivious that Harriet is bored and hates dogs!

They were all on their phones ignoring each other, you do that after 28 years married not after a week! Lol.

I think the thing is with regard to an older version is that there is a real chance people of that age have already had their first marriage and probably children too, so this would be a second marriage, they aren't looking for their true love and the mother/father to their potential children etc so it could all be very safe and boring as more of a "Companion At First Sight". I do think there is a difference between young (i.e. childbearing age) first marriages and older (i.e. more retirement grandparent than maternity) second or third marriages. It wouldn't be as interesting (to me) from a anthropology point of view.

Harriet needs to marry someone fun and glamorous like Gove. In fact she looks a a bit like William Hague's wife.

I think an ‘older’ married at first sight wouldn’t work as well because they are much less likely to put up with a load of crap second or third time

I’m watching the USA series 3 too. Samantha and Ashley just look like they both want out!

seven I can't stand the dramatic editing in American versions of these types of shows. Give me the bimbling pace of the English show any day.

I'll watch Aussie but I find USA editing awful and repetitive around ad breaks.
