Just catching up on this week's episodes. Loved Benton falling out with Haleh and her response. Then Carol telling him how it is. Watching this again I've noticed just how much of the work is done by the nurses. Nurses are awesome Grin

Love Labor's Lost was on tonight.

Such a powerful episode. You feel for everyone involved. Didn't realise it won an Emmy but you can see why.

dingdongdigeridoo · 10/03/2018 12:09

Agh, I'm pregnant and shouldn't have watched that episode. I was cringing throughout, especially when he had the forceps.

There's also an episode a few seasons in with a tiny premature baby that I really need to avoid. It's not til Abbey shows up.

Ontheboardwalk · 11/03/2018 21:02

Ah just watched Loves Labor's Lost been putting it off all weekend.

What a great but hard to watch episode. I didn’t realise when I first watched it how dismissive Mark was in listening and interacting with the mother. Carter was the one explaining things to the mother.

DispatchReady · 11/03/2018 22:02

Just about to watch...

Sophisticatedsarcasm · 11/03/2018 22:21

Have all 15 seasons on dvd which I just finished rewatching for like the 5th time. I love it. Never get bored. And of course my fave is Doug Ross. I’ve been ch3cking where they are up to on tv and waiting for a few key episodes that I love.

Sophisticatedsarcasm · 11/03/2018 22:25

The actor who plays Benton (Eric la salle) he now directs Chicago p.d and was also in some episodes of under the dome. I didn’t really like Benton but he will always be one of the pivotal main cast.

Did you know Carol Hathaway was only intended for a guest spot but they loved her so much they wrote her in as main cast... which is fine by me as she was my fave female character and I have a whole girl crush on Julianna marguiles 😂

DispatchReady · 11/03/2018 22:26

It's horrid to watch knowing what happens...Greene does seem quite blasé about it all.

IhaveChillyToes · 11/03/2018 23:15

Just watched it on CBS DRAMA

Slartybartfast · 12/03/2018 07:51

Watched ths last night, So exciting. I remember How much I enjoyed ER, and still do

MrsFring · 12/03/2018 11:02

My fave show ever. I love the tender relationship between the patrician puppy-dog Carter and remote, uber-cool Benton; the way Benton panics when Carter is stabbed "stay with me man!"

AnnaT45 · 13/03/2018 11:36

Love labours lost is so hard to watch but I think it shows how a series of minor issues can all contribute to something going wrong.

Sadly it still happens, a friend of a friend lost her baby a couple of years ago through eclampsia the day after she went to the midwife day ward for monitoring. Very similar to this story but luckily the Mum was ok but the baby wasn't.

I also love that the dad is josh from the west wing!

FoofFighter · 13/03/2018 13:20

I'm very upset Sad

Due to stuff I'd been recording these onto usb from the tv since the second week it started on this channel.
Nothing has been recorded!!!!!!

I can’t see it on YouTube.

Think you’re going to have to splash the cash, about a tenner I think, on the first series on DVD.

Your post committed me and many other people to rewatching 331 episodes (yes I googled it) you can’t stop watching now

Thirtyrock39 · 14/03/2018 08:03

Watched loves labour lost last night forgot just how traumatic an episode it is
Saying that the cynic in me thought being the US there's no way she would not have been rushed for a csec almost immediately after first coming back to the ER

Slartybartfast · 14/03/2018 08:32

In RL labour though dont they need to concentrate more on mother? Less on baby?

dingdongdigeridoo · 14/03/2018 21:30

I hate how Dr Greene gets such a bad time this season. Doesn’t he get beaten up soon? That one is horrible to watch.

Ontheboardwalk · 14/03/2018 21:54

They repeat the 8pm episodes at 3 o’clock the next day. How can they do that when it’s a 15 rated show?

I recorded Loves Labor's lost at 3 and 8 (yes I am very over invested) because I had it set up to record at 3 and was worried I was getting a cut down edited version. They were both as harrowing as each other.

What are the going to do with 18 rated episodes?

Thirtyrock39 · 14/03/2018 22:06

Which series has that disturbing storyline with the rapes of elderly patients ? I might have to swerve those episodes they were so disturbing ...I think they still showed that storyline when skyatlantic or e4 used to repeat episodes in the day but they cut out a lot of the Valentine's Day episode (Abbie and carter)

NinaMarieP · 14/03/2018 22:41

There are edited episodes for daytime repeats for shows like that with the bloodiest/most disturbing moments cut.

NinaMarieP · 14/03/2018 22:43

But not necessarily the most upsetting bits! It's daft sometimes that a single word can increase a rating and yet other stuff is fine to show.
