Ours is set to automatic and has been fine for ER.

Only been a problem the past two episodes!

Mine is too - i think it's being broadcast a few minutes late as there is the end of the previous programme at the start - freeview humax.

I also missed a couple of episodes that just didn't record at all when i was on holiday.

Has anyone else noticed the random crew members popping up in some episodes? I assume it's due to the remastering of the originals and so they wouldn't have been visible in the original edit. In the Valentine's episode there's a guy hunched on the floor of trauma 2 when Carol and Luca watch Robbie view his parents' bodies. There was also a beardy guy perched on a stool in the corner of the trauma room in another episode, cameraman I think.

I think it's do do with tv's being wider now, so you see a lot more of the shot. (Something to do with the ratio)

I actually saw an article clickbait recently about the wide screen thing, apparently in Friends you can see the body doubles in a few shots now because of it.

Quite often I watch ER on our old portable telly upstairs (tiny screen but big backed - it will never die) so I don't have that issue.

Am still catching up, about to start season 5 on DVD - where's the TV showings up to now?

I didn't recall much of season 4 from before, it was pretty dull really. I either didn't see much of it, or blotted it out cause it was quite bad

I love Dr Romano, I know, I know, but I just can't help it

Thing is, Paul McCrane plays Romano really really well for us to hate the character so much. And his reaction after Lucy (and the dog episode) were so not Romano they hit home.

One of my favourite Romano moments is when he finds Elizabeth crying over Marks cancer relapse, and also when he speaks to Reece with sign language. He's a big (little) softie really.

My sky box keeps missing the last minute off the recording, it’s repeated at 1am so I record that one and watch the last minute the next morning!

I really like Romano, they did a great job of showing his slightly human side with Lucy and the dog

The writers utterly destroy his entire life down the line.

I got impatient with the telly pace and dig the DVDs out, just started the final season. It's fair to say DH and I are panicking about what we're going to do with our evenings when it's all over again!

I've emailed them via their website to see if/when season 7 will be shown. I'd say it's going to give me an opportunity to see season 4 as I missed it due to them messing about last time but I daresay they'll change it again.

I reckon they're doing deals on a season by season basis and haven't secured season 7 yet.

The Lucy Carter bit was as heartbreaking as I remember
The first time round I really did not like Benton, but he appears so much softer this time round.
Cannot bear Malluci.
Romano is as annoying as ever, but like others, I don't hate him as much. Same with Carrie.
Still love Dr Greene as much as before.
