The whole thing was moving, and I also liked those little details like Max trying to hold Tanya's hand and her shaking him off and Cora's daggers at Max that kept it 'real' and not saccharine. Pub scene was good too.

I didn't see the episode with Lee&Whit's wedding, I had a time out for about six months, didn't know Tiff turned up for that.
The story line was gritty enough (and the uncomfortably long eye contact in the rear view mirror and the sing song 'come out little girl' like out of a horror film) but Ethan's a little bit too 'happy ending' that Big Sis stepped in just at the right moment getting her claws out.
I suppose I expected Tiff to knee him in the groin but it made more sense to show her vulnerable despite the swagger.

Agree, if that was Ben's final exit, it's a bit of a shame that he doesn't even get a duff duff or 'taxi of doom' or nuffink. The character has been around for many years with good story lines – though I'm sure I'm not alone in never ever forgiving nor forgetting what he did to Hev! –
Abuse by Stella, coming out to himself and The Square, difficult relationship with father, prison, losing his boyfriend so tragically, more abuse...

All caught up now. That Abby episode was really sad. I also liked the little details like where everyone in the pub had a swig of their drink at the same time and the credits with no music, not even the sad version of the theme tune. I agree it felt a bit more 'real life' and not saccharine. Max must be going through hell (not real life )

Ben's exit was dreadful 😒

I didn’t realise that Ben had gone for good but I’ve just googled and it is true (although we all know that gone for good is not necessarily gone for good in eastenders land!)

So where is the rest of the money? Who stole it? Ciara doesn’t seem to have it or know where it is. That leaves members of the Incompetent Crew. Or Jay? That seems unlikely though.

Perhaps I have a weird mind, but in view of the sexualization of EE recently - the scene where Tiff was in the back of the car and the yob said she 'had a mouth on her', she replied 'My boyfriend thinks so.'

dogs - Yes. There's been a lot more innuendo under the new regime. E.g. Shirley to Mas about sticking his 99 into whatever cornet came along in a previous episode. I'm not sure I like it at that hour in the evening.

That was so sad! Jay is a brilliant character, so pleased they brought him in to Abi’s final episode.

The episode made me think of Max losing Bradley too. Absolutely tragic. Assume Max and Tanya? have custody of Abi’s baby?

Still bemused by Ben’s apparent exit. I like to think he will return with Jane because I don’t think their stories are complete!

I don't think either Max or Tanya automatically gets custody. Certainly hope Max isn't under consideration. Surely he's going to get his come-uppance for blackmailing Steven to try to get rid of Jane and leaving her in the fire. Better really if Lauren took on the baby.

I'm wondering if Ian is in regular contact with Jane and that's why he didn't answer her call. He's far too cheerful in the circs.

Both Ben and Jane had exits that are easy to return from so they could both easily be back.
