Yes, I know it is a shock to discover CBB celebrities famous for something other than being on other reality shows, but there are some in the house this year! It is a miracle!

Still no shopping lists, decent long-lasting tasks and lack of BB interference but we can't have everything can we?

PWBs - pull up a chair (from your favourite Oak furniture dealer), grab your snacks and get stuck in!

I think Daniel must be thick as pig shit. What he said about Jess is the diary room is the sort of mentality that fuels rape culture, women being seen as just a fuck hole to hang out the back of. He’s clearly learnt nothing from the rape joke episode.

I think he thought they would not show that. He seems to think apologizing once with tears in his eyes is going to be enough. unfortunately he comes across as a misogynistic arsehole fullstop. I have a feeling I am going to really dislike him and Johnny as a double act of 'ladz'. Hopefully one of them goes pretty soon

BatShite · 07/01/2018 15:29

The therapists who approved IW must be kicking themselves at the blatant AGP, when not in a therapy setting.

Is India AGP..I know they seem to fetishize womens biology but I thought AGP trans were meant to be 'lesbian'? Wheres datun when you need her!

AnneEyhtMeyer · 07/01/2018 15:29

People in the house won't dare tell him he's not a woman because they fear career suicide.

I'm surprised people are seeing malice in Rachel. I think she looks like someone who isn't particularly interested in drama and like most people, do. She gave IW a hug because IW was upset. She was sent like to see someone upset. She probably encouraged IW to talk about stuff tomorrow instead of then because she could see IW was drunk, over-wrought and likely to make things worse for themselves if they launched into more ranting at that point.

I don't see malice there, but I do think shes asslicking. I think Rachel can see the game India is trying to play (labeling the whole house transphobic bigots) and is worried that Indias plan is working.

sheldonesque · 07/01/2018 15:32

They threw the wrong bit away.

RubyJack · 07/01/2018 15:33

So,does anyone have a housemate they like?

BatShite · 07/01/2018 15:35

I love Amanda and Courtney. John I quite like. Ginuwine seems decent, I thought I would dislike him a lot. Malika I like too, which is surprising for me as anything Kardashian I tend to switch off inside Grin

After the care and attention Shane L lavished on that delicious-looking sandwich, I can't wait to see what he knocks up for dinner.

MsGameandWatching · 07/01/2018 15:39

I like all of them except India and "Dapper" 😒

I even think Jonny will provide some entertainment. He was a pig in LI but was funny at times.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 07/01/2018 15:42

Rachel doesn't know what the feeling is outside the house though - for all she knows the outside world might be loving IW and so she is scared of coming across as transphobic because she has already "misgendered" him countless times. As far as she's concerned she could be the next Jade Goody if she's not careful.

love Courtney and Malika. Those of you surprised that someone from Keeping Up With the Kardashians could be intelligent, have you watched the show? All the Kardashian/Jenner women are intelligent, funny, witty, especially Khloe. Their airhead image is a bit unfair.

1happyhippie · 07/01/2018 15:51

It's looking like a good series this year, a good mix of housemates. I like John, Shane (both of them), and Amanda so far.
India is becoming a pain, I can see them being the first to leave. Although she will blame that on people not accepting her as a woman when in reality it's because she's not a likeable person.
Also dapper won't last long in there. Johnny was a pain on love island so I'm not expecting much from him.
I quite like Anne, she is very blunt and straight to the point, not sure she will join in on all the tasks and stuff though.
Big brothers been done that many times now they need to shake up things or go right back to the original show.

nicenewdusters · 07/01/2018 15:52

Occasional de-lurker here. Fabulous thread as ever.

Agree with really everything said previously about IW. Also, that the problem lies with India/Jonathan the person, not India the woman. She has a huge ego but her sense of self is paper thin. Like others have said, I too agree with very few of Ann W's opinions and beliefs. But she has a core of steel, a strength about her and doesn't flounce when people disagree with her.

IW's sense of self seems to have been put together like a collage, from looking at women in the world around her. It's like watching a Martian acting out how they think women dress, think and act. She also has no empathy, telling other women her boobs aren't sexual to her, just like an arm. Well of course hers are going to feel different, she didn't start developing them at the onset of puberty. Her remark was so arrogant and throw away, with no thought of how it might be received.

Hopefully Courtney/Shane will be the looking glass that shatters IW's illusion. Of course it won't be for her, but it will be for BB viewers.

MsGameandWatching · 07/01/2018 15:53

I'm always rather Hmm at the all the Kardashians/Jenner's are thick viewpoint as well. They're ALL multi millionaires known world wide, you don't get that without having something about you. The masses that buy into it uncritically are arguably the ones without much going on.

BeyondWW · 07/01/2018 15:58

Batshite, iirc agp are usually attracted to women, but sometimes they can fetishise "Woman" to the extent that they then have relationships with men, despite being straight pre-transition

Craftylady28 · 07/01/2018 16:01

I've been thinking who Malika reminds me of - the way she speaks/gesticulates is just like Melody Thornton - love her too.

When Ashley was reading out the roles of the men, I kept thinking it was Rachel who was speaking - I hadnt noticed how alike they sound until then

Craftylady28 · 07/01/2018 16:01

(Not not just the second knuckle comment but “hanging out the back of Jess”. Yeah I’m totally a nice guy...)

OMG I must have missed that part - who the hell said that?!

nicenewdusters · 07/01/2018 16:04

That was the lovely "Dapper" Crafty who said that. I literally sat there with my jaw dropped when he said it.

BeyondWW · 07/01/2018 16:04

I don't think people assume the kardashians and co are thick - they obviously aren't - just maybe that they're a bit shallow and will be boring stuck in a house with no outside fun added in?

Whereas people definitely do assume glamour models are thick. But the way Jess did that first task shows in her first 20mins on the show that she isn't!

SoleBizzz · 07/01/2018 16:06

Anne I have made your coffee Grin

PositivelyPERF · 07/01/2018 16:09

There was a bit where India told (I think) Malika that the conversation was so boring and he was going to shake things up. I'm not repeating verbatim, but that's the gist of it. I think he's under the illusion that women all act like him.

It's like he's read the misogyny hand book on women. We're all 'hysterical' drama queens. He must be really confused that the women aren't responding in the same manner. They're not following the 'gender stereotype'. They're obviously not real women like him.Wink

Craftylady28 · 07/01/2018 16:12

HellToupee
I did feel a bit sorry for AW at “skirt-gate” and do wonder if Courtney’s is the only dick she’s ever seen
Havent you seen the uncensored photos of Courtney - she had everything taped up between her legs, so no dick is even on show Grin

BelligerentGardenPixies · 07/01/2018 16:13

India's constant performance of femininity; the draping over chairs, legs on display. The breasts constantly on show, the preoccupation with looks and make-up and hair do point more to a fetish then a true feeling of womaness (whatever that might be).

Even the women in the house who make their living from the performance of femininity have down time from it.

India's rage at not being seen as attractive by Genuwine (sp) is about validating themselves as a women because in India's mind what a women is, is a fuck thing for men... and nothing else. India doesn't fancy Genuwine but he must fancy India because otherwise the house of cards that is his "identity" comes tumbling down . This is also why he can't stand it when the women are discussing politics or serious conversations - he wants it to be all fluff and girlishness. It is also why he is aggressive towards the older women in the house, especially Anne (who is very gender non-conforming in her behaviour). In both examples the females do not conform to his fetishised, pornified version of womanhood and it is clearly distasteful to him.

India's version of womanhood is a man's version of womanhood and the disparity between him and actual women is glaring in such confined quarters - I predict many more hissy fits before he is booted out. Oh and calling Anne miserable is like the pot calling the kettle black. I'm stealing something I saw on facebook and we should rename the show India and The Temple of Gloom.
