Very good point about Ann being gender-non-conforming in the eyes of a trans. I've seen quite a few comments here and elsewhere about how she must never have seen a naked man / is probably a lesbian. I don't understand women saying things like that, as though a woman's identity is reliant on their relationship with men. You can decide to live a single life without living like a nun or being a repressed lesbian. I sometimes wish I'd taken that route in life!

Surely if you have identified as a female from an early age you would have observed women for a long time: watching your mother/grandmother/sisters and in IW's case, wife, and seen how they act. Did these women blowdry their hair topless or moisturise their breasts infront of each other?Did she see the way society treats women and what women endure with menstruation, childbirth etc? Also as a journalist, you have been trained to investigate and find out the facts.

I think last night’s show highlighted how pernicious the ‘transwomen are women’ bandwagon is for transwomen. I felt sad for India (even though she is pretty unpleasant) when she told Rachel that people say transwomen are women but those are just words. She is right!
I don’t believe that anyone thinks that natal males can become natal females. I think many kind and supportive people want to help trans people live their lives happily as possible and support them with their chosen identity. However, lesbians and heterosexual men are highly unlikely to want to have sex with any natal men, no matter how they identify or whatever surgery they have. It is unacceptable for anyone to challenge them on this. The days of society trying to control people’s sexuality are over, thank goodness!

so probably studied the behaviours quite closely also the outside reactions to them inside

In previous years quite a few of the people on BB and CBB have been plastic people who have had hissy fits and temper tantrums galore behaving like but even worse than children

So IW expected to be surrounded by plastic fluffy people who could be manipulated into agreeing that I AM A REAL WOMAN

But instead IW is in there with real real women who actually have brains and personality

I've joined the thread, caught up on demand once I realised that Ann Widdecombe was appearing. I don't agree with a lot of her views, but she is someone I admire. She is steadfast in her opinions and doesn't give a stuff for political correctness.

How do I watch last night's episode? Not on catch up yet, that I can find. Do you have to wait a certain amount of time? Have never watched this but IW is helping peaktrans DD so keen to be able to discuss with her.
